The Apple Watch Series 4 has a glass screen. And glass.. you know... can break. Especially when you're doin' active people things like closing your circles. HUGE thanks to my buddies over at www.Fixdirepair.com for helping with this Glass only Apple watch repair. Check them out if your watch is broken, (cuz I'm definitely not going to do it again.) Attempting a glass only Apple Watch repair is probably the hardest 'cell phone' repair there is. And I highly recommended not doing it. The most difficult parts of replacing the screen on an apple watch is making sure not to damage the... well... everything. The force touch ring between the glass and the metal body, then the touch sensitive layer right under the glass, and the display right under the touch sensitive layer... The Apple Smart Watch is a fragile sandwich of complexity. Good luck.

ItzCryssie I was able to do it successfully! since I’ve made over $3000 doing it. I broke a couple of digitizers but it only costs $10 more to get a screen with a digitizer. I also recently went bigger and successfully took off the glass from an iPhone 12, if everything goes well I could make $400! All this is thanks to this one video.

KRUSTY KRABBY incredibly ignorant. The reason why this is so difficult is because he's separating a glass from both the digitizer and the force touch sensors itself. This repair is incredibly difficult no matter who makes the device- separating a glass from the touch interface and lcd that is. Source: s8+ plus I'm refurbishing had its display break when someone tried doing the same exact kind of repair

Today I have just been able to take off the glass only on the watch, series 4 44mm. I used really thin reinforced wire between the two layers

It's not worth the risk. And it's more labor intensive so it doesn't even make sense to charge less than a whole screen replacement.

@@aneeshprasobhan no you have got it all wrong, Steve Jobs hated consumers prying around inside his products. Steve Wozniak was the one who wanted to make it easy for people to add stuff and hack their computers. Jobs wanted only 2 expansion slots on the original Apple II Computer one for a printer and one for a modem while Wozniak wanted 8 (and he won). Subsequent Apple products under Jobs all restricted user customisability and access as he believed that consumers do not know what's best for them until you show it to them
