Can a Cheap Bike Hold Up? Cyrusher Ranger VS Fezzari Timp Peak

Спорт

#emtb #mountainbike #loamwolf
To answer many of your questions and comments about us testing expensive bikes and just how big of a difference there is in performance, we took the $2,700 Cyrusher Range and put it up to what we think is the best budget to performance electric mountain bike, the Fezzari Timp Peak.
See how they did and if there really is a reason we like to ride bikes that cost more.

The Cyrusher and similar bikes are certainly not for these types of trails despite the manufacturer’s marketing. They’re also definitely not for this channel’s typical audience. However, they are excellent for other uses and provide a very nice ride for most other tasks.

Got the Ranger, 2K miles done on mostly roads, fire roads and river paths, bit of green lanes etc. but by no means mountain bike terrain. I've set this up with the mud guards, rear rack and panniers, child seat, the optional mirrors and it does everything soooo well. The sand floating of the ranger is fantastic, I've hit sand accidentally a few times and it's never caused any irritation of the bike. Tires are not that great, they follow ruts and road paint lines like crazy but also don't inspire confidence offroad... will change these once they are used up. Range of the Range is 40+ miles with the use of higher assist levels, more than sufficient. I bought the Ranger as a car/motorbike replacement in the city and boy it does that like a champ. The motor being in the rear hub means less wear and tear on the drive train compared to a mid drive motor. The brakes are adequate but not great, certainly need and upgrade on those at some point. It would be interesting to see the Ranger converted with standard width tyres rather than the fat tyres would do...

*Here's a request for something a bit different...* How would you guys like to do a comparison between 90s XT or XTR and this year's Deore? I recently jumped on a bike with Deore expecting the worst, and you know what? It was actually really good. I swear it's better than I sweated every day after school to get all those years ago.

I have a bionx d500 kit on my giant anthem with fox 40’s and a 2degree headset adjuster. I have push button proportional throttle and 4 batteries that I can find cheap on market place. I can do up too 100km a day. If you want a capable commuter bike this is your best way to go. Bike was 800$. Used kit was 1100$ extra batteries aprox 250$. If fancy bikes had a throttle I would switch over but that won’t happen.

Omg we have to see a comparison vid now with the cyrusher and another funny adventure bike. 😂 these vids are so entertaining. Sam pilgrim would have smashed that last rock roll in the tech rock garden challenge, but the bike might have also folded in half lol. Smart move to walk and avoid injury. 😅

You guys should do a diy emtb build... maybe a series where you convert an acoustic mtb with a cyc motor. Then, compare to an entry-level emtb in the $3500-$5000 price range.

How about a Carbonda, or Light Carbon, or similar direct to consumer build with a Bafang m510, m 600, m620, or m850 motor and battery? I am looking into this kind of build. Emtb forum has a lot of info.

I rather see a 1000w Bafang hub motor DIY kit on a nice Fat tire mount bike go head to head with 250w full suspension, would definitely beat a 250-watt hardtail mountain bike.

I am glad you did this. As many of these bikes are marketed as "extreme" I would welcome you to accept demos from these fly by night companies more often. Another that would be great, is get honest opinions from bike mechanics and supposedly the nightmare maintenance (due to parts and support) with these cheaper bikes.

Drew, you couldn't pay me to have the crysher. I thought my core 2 decoy at 4200.00 is good value. I did put a coil ultimate and the charger 3 damper and air chamber in it though. Bumped up to 180mm on fork.

I think a better cheap emtb to compare with is the Hyper 29" E-Ride MTB mid-drive FS. It's under $1300. This is what I consider a truly cheap emtb that is FS and mid-drive and would be a better comparision to the higher quality component emtb's.
