CAN .177 GAMO Magnum SHOOT THROUGH METAL?!?! - Swarm GEN3i

Спорт

These results surprised the heck out of me! I was expecting that it might go through the metal but not with the pellets that did! You gotta watch this and see these surprising results with the GAMO Magnum Swarm GEN3i in.177 caliber.

    I've never tried it with a .177, but there's an old goat pen on the edge of my property, about 75 yards from where I usually shoot, and with most of my .22 air rifles, they just punch straight through the corrugated steel siding on it, and that's some pretty hefty stuff, thicker than the metal you're popping in this video. First time I put a hole in it was with my Gamo Shadow Express, using a round ball.

    My Replay Magnum can put a .177 PBA pellet through a 2" phone book at 10 meters. Never tried it with a lot of different types. Maybe about six different types. Out of those I chose two that have continued to give me incredible results at both hunting and plinking.

    the sides and top are of a thinner gauge, the bottom and faceplate are usually heavier, and, depending on the brand, there is usually a heat sink along the backside of the faceplate

    I have one of the older model Gamo Magnums 177 caliber and unfortunately I dont shoot it often. I like the gun, but its loud and the cocking effort is brutal. I'm not a weak person, but after a day in the woods with it, my arms were toast! Another well done video...thanks for your work.

    I have one of those too. I got it when they discontinued them for the swarm. Very loud because of 1650 FPS with no baffle. I'm a body builder so I don't find the cocking effort that difficult but you are not going to stealth the squirrels in the backyard with this thing. It sounds like a .22 rimfire. Gamo redfire pellets will go right through squirrels no problem.

    Hey Ben, Thanks for this excellent video on the Gamo Swarm Magnum Gen 3i in .177. you've probably already gotten this request, but in case you haven't, please do a comparison between heavy slugs and pellets at different distances with the Gamo Swarm Magnum Gen 3i in .177, and compare its groups to the Gamo Swarm Magnum Gen 3i in. 22 with slugs and pellets at different distances. Thanks again. Stay Safe, Be Well, God Bless.

    Have you done this test with the 22 ? I'd like to see the FPS on the different types of ammo with the .22 and I'm sure the .22 would cut right through that metal lol I had my M4 177 out yesterday using the premier hollow points and they were cutting through a pretty thick baking pan, so I can't imagine what the gamo can do. I'm definitely getting the gamo before summer, I just take forever to make a final decision. I'm split between the 177 or 22.

HONESTLY ANSWER PLEASE, and the best Pellet for it? THANKS FOR YA HONESTY RESPONSE BRO!

    Iv killed crows with my Gamo Magnum. Iv also watched a few fly off after being hit. They are a tough bird. I once hit one with a 35 cal in the gut and it flew away. The biggest thing is to get a head shot. With that a Gamo Magnum would take it down for sure. I’d recommend the Gamo rocket pellets or the JSB Hades in the Magnum for hunting.

    My daughter has been using Crossman premier 10.5 grain dome pellets in her new swarm Gen 3i. She’s getting 1.5-2” groupings at 50 yards consistently. At that distance, they are passing through 3/4” pine and lodging in the OSB behind that. We’ll be experimenting with metal shortly.

    Sorry to point out, but velocities are much higher at elevated altitudes due to the fact that the air is much thinner the higher up you are. And conversely, a lower altitudes or at sea level the air is thicker and thus cause more friction on moving objects, slowing them down in contrast to a mile high altitude. Just thought you should know. Thanks for the great review!

  • @ShootingGearReviews

    @ShootingGearReviews

    Жыл бұрын

    Please read this ENTIRE reply. You are only half correct. It works that way with firearms/real bullets. But think about it… with the thinner air a break barrel will have less power because the power is created by the spring or gas ram pushing the ambient air. If the air is thinner the ram will generate less power. I have tested this extensively. I don’t just say things without actually knowing what I am talking about.
