Camino de Santiago a Finisterre & Muxia

0:00 Intro
03:36 Ponte Maceira
05:40 Negreira Roman Fair
14:10 Waterfall of Ezaro
19:06 Walk up to Cape Finisterre
The Camino de Finisterre and Muxia from Santiago de Compostela is seen as a final point for those wanting to extend their Camino Frances. It is a different and unique route as it is the only one that does not lead to Santiago de Compostela, but rather starts from there and for this reason it is used as a continuation or epilogue of the path taken by each pilgrim, walking the few remaining days until the end of the world. The Camino de Finisterre and Muxía follows ancient paths dating to pre Roman times walking following the course of the sun to the ends of the earth, where the Costa da Morte was the limit of the world as it was then known. Today, as in the past many pilgrims end their journey here and continue to be moved by silently contemplating the sunset over the ocean

I love the walk to Finisterre , and now skip the last 100km from Sarria (to crowded and commercial now)and bus to Santiago then walk to Finisterre, it's a much better use of my time when it's limited . I'm going to try the coastal walk of the lighthouses the next time I get the opportunity to go walkabout . Great videos, enjoyed your Camino No worries and Buen Camino

I enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing your journey. How did you decide between SdC to Finisterre to Muxia vs SdC to Muxia to Finisterre?

Thanks glad that you liked it. There were a couple of reasons for choosing to go from SDC to Finisterre then Muxia, first of all this was a reward for finishing my Camino Frances in 26 days as I only had 33 walking days available to me. In 2016 I did 3 Caminos, Norte, Primitivo and from SDC to Muxia ending in Finisterre, which I found a more natural way to end your Camino, therefore this time around I wanted to do it in reverse Finisterre then finish in Muxia and taking that route was able to at Cee take that side trip to visit the Waterfall at Ezaro well worth it, buen Camino and good luck with your KZread channel
