Cambodian Parachute Gecko in Kaeng Krachan National Park, Thailand

Today I arrived at Ban Krang Campsite in Kaeng Krachan National Park, and having set up my tent I made my way to the bathroom, and not for the first time came across some stunning wildlife that sent me scurrying back to my car for my camera gear.
This is my first encounter with the Cambodian Parachute Gecko - Gekko takehos. It was completely motionless throughout, but that did allow me to get some really close up shots of the stunning skin pattern and the astonishing eye.

Yes… it was a stunner. Low down in one of the trees by the path going to the bathrooms.

Yes, I’m vegan, too. But this was a completely natural situation. I merely recorded what happened in nature.
