Getting a new bow properly tuned is an incredibly nuanced process, and this video highlights that perfectly. I spent many countless hours in archery shops going through this whole process. To many non-archers, this looks incredibly boring. But I actually love this whole process. The mechanics and trial/error process. Cameron shoots Hoyt, I shoot Mathews -- but I still love em! I actually looked at a Carbon Defiant Turbo when I was purchasing a new bow last month, but ultimately went with the Halon. Been a Mathews guy forever so it's only fitting. Incredibly happy with it.

Me too. It's like you are hanging out with them, more than just an interview or podcast episode. Not that those aren't great, this is just different and refreshing. But yeah, the audio could have been a tad better.

I find this quite funny... Joe got his bow setup and looks like he was taking tips from cam on form and release execution, etc. Now Joe has sent his bow to John Dudley and got it properly setup and he got some real coaching. Now he is shooting great and his bow is tuned properly. All about meeting the right people. John Dudley is the man!

Those hoyt carbon bows are the coolest thing I ever seen. I really like the way they look. They look like they were grown rather than forged. Could't afford carbon though.

Actually watched the whole thing! Never been to a bow shop few and far between in the U.K Had to wait 12 weeks for my bow took me that long to save up for the rest of the stuff now I’ve got 12 weeks to wait on a bow sight then a 2hour trek to get it setup. So guess that explains why I’m here!

You need to do more videos with Wayne explaining all of what he explained to Joe with better audio... I had to crank my speakers to try to hear him. I was interested particularly in his explanation of form, staging, ect...

So Rogan goes from a a puncher release here to back tention, and he seems to draw the bow differently now too. He really caught on fireand was a fast tracker ! Great job Rogan. ....and Cam,,,,and Dudley.

wow - I heard Joe was good at jui jitsu from my old mma coach Matt Hume but just watching some of his stretches and angles of his hips to shoulders I can see that !!! only a part way through this but this is amazing for someone like me..wanting to watch technique taught from the best to a good student. I think it would be awesome if you did some kinda give away - contest and the prize was an hour being taught by you and the guy at the shop. to make it faster the contestants would have to already show you a picture of their bow so you don't have to take the time to dial that in and few shots so you can see you are not starting with a full beginner. just an idea..for us that are middle of the road lerners! thanks

I like bow shooting. Used to go to bow shoots all the time with my family but was always trigger happy, could never find a way to relax and hold the bow steady and get it sighted before I shot. Lots of lost arrows because of that lol.

Joe, from a martial artist sensei, lock in your stance. Normal fighting stance and feel your energy hit the ground. Now adress your target. sense it's energy and meet it with your bow hand. project your chi from that hand to the target. when you feel that you are sending your chi through your bow hand to the target you will find more comfort in the shot. The shot will connect to your center. When you feel the shot you will naturally release the arrow. This is from Kyu Jutsu. The samurai studied this for thousands of years. As a martial artist, the connection to the target commits the flight of the arrow.

+LunkerLimits I've had a qad for 10 years, if you get that make sure its the higher end one the hex. I think i'm getting the trophy taker smack down pro on my new bow though, holds the arrow steady a little longer before dropping.

Joe needs to use more back tension during the draw, aiming, shot, and follow through. He is using arm muscles because he is strong, but is not good form for accuracy, and less strong people emulating him could get shoulder injuries.

I am glad that guy spent as much time stressing to Joe about the flaws in his draw as he did. And the best was when u said "there is no strength issues" he was like look man watch me!!!!!!!! This is identical to Joe trying to teach Brian to kick on his podcast.. Only difference is Joe was not arguing and you can legit tell he is focused trying to learn

Some people have dominant vision in one eye, there's a simple test to determine that. I'm right eye dominant so I should looking through my right eye, if I shot with both eyes it would be OFF
