This takes me back to when I was 18 years old and got my very first job: stock clerk at liquor store located just a ten-minute walk from home. I was hired exactly six months after I graduated high school, and then celebrated by treating myself to two movies (Home Alone 3 and Scream 2) in an effort to milk my remaining two days of freedom before entering the work force. Although, unlike Calvin, I hated my job from the get-go and quit nearly five months later. It was boring, and I was never able to remember where each brand of liquor was located on the shelves. This didn't sit well with the owner (Indian dude in his late 30s) who was a tyrant and always yelling to the point of making me cry, especially if I broke a bottle. He would threaten to take it out of my pay if it happens again. Of course, he was bluffing. Looking back, I wish he had meant what he said (but in a respectful tone) rather than yell at me and not doc my pay. I mean, what's better -- a berating boss who gives bonuses, or a soft-spoken boss who doesn't give bonuses? Something to think about. Anyway, I'll never forget my very first pay day. $355 dollars (off the books). That Saturday night, my boss's mother (a sweet little old lady who always stood post for shoplifters) told me to put my money safely in my pocket, since it was around 1 a.m. and I would be walking home by myself. Bless her heart! Sadly, her son died about a year after I quit that job. From what my mom told me prior to his death, she noticed he looked very thin and frail. Supposedly, he was HIV positive. So I went to the liquor store to give his mom a hug and offer my condolences. Despite his lack of people skills, his generosity was unmatched -- he treated me to breakfast every morning when he arrived at the store where I waited for him to open up shop. On top of that, despite working there just three days, he not only gave me a bonus, but told me to pick out my mom's favorite wine for him to gift wrap for me to give to her. When I proceeded to grab a smaller bottle, in an effort to not look tacky/greedy, he said, "No, grab the bigger size." I still have the Christmas card that my bonus was enclosed in, for memories of this milestone. You never forget your first job, and I would gladly go back in a heartbeat, just so I can be young, vibrant and stress-free again. Incidentally, at my next job at a bowling alley, my boss was a customer at the liquor store, as he would purchase inventory for the bowling alley's saloon. Small world. One day when he arrived, he came up to me at the front desk where I was stationed, and stuck up his index finger and said, "I just saw your former boss. He looks like THIS.” R.I.P., Krishna. 🙏❤ 🙏 ❤ 🙏❤

No we are putting a light on a corporation that expects a grown man to feed his family on minimum wage, fast food, labour and acting like its a profession to be encouraged and to be aimed for in the community rather than for aiming higher. McD wouldn't dare to aim this advertisement for a grown man named Harrison in the gated community and have his neighbours be so proud of him and call it legitimate work or a career. Classic. Remember watching this with my best friend when we're like 12. Good times.
2:45 They blocked out burger right after he said it before and they didn't block it out?
I graduated from the college of the jacket he’s wearing. Clarkson University. Still can’t find ANYTHING as to why he’s wearing it after all these years lol

Sure would be nice to actually hear the skit without all those beeps and edits

When a particular community stigmatizes legitimate work and instead celebrates a culture of criminality and laziness, it's no wonder they have so many problems.

They wouldn't even call it a respectable dinner.
1:50-1:54 ha ha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s Michael Carbonaro as his boss. Lol
Wait a minute he got his first check after working three weeks? Nah 😂😂😂
Classic skit
The meanest burger in the world! Become the MEEEEEANEST burger in the world!
The sad part is that it has some truth to it.
Not much point in a censored Chappelle Show skit.
Getn paid. Getn paid.
What beep out burger?! lol
Yound David is the goat ❤
Who here after Morgan Spurlock had too much Wac Arnolds? 🤣😂🤣
Back when we all could laugh at our differences.
Getting any job is the first step out of poverty and shouldn't be looked down upon.
I remember a lyric from either Ice-T or Maestro Fresh Wes, was something like this: "It's time to change your ways, expand your range, I said f--k that bullshit job, that was chump change."
Funny
I suppose it’s better than forcefully resisting arrest during a routine traffic stop.
Hey that was Michael carbonara that him the check!!
Actually, I would love to see a re-vamped, current Mickey D’s Calvin type commercial! It could have Calvin owning a few franchises (looking like he’s making Major paper) and giving other young people jobs!
Who came here after seeing the real commercial?

why censor burger?
In the original commercial people are acting like this Nigga is gonna raise the property value of the neighborhood or somethin. This must be the Black Christian community because they act like a bunch of Mormans lol. Gospel Choir must hit different around here bruh. The Soul Food knockoff WacArnolds was closed down recently but damn Mr Chapelle I miss those days.

...then Calvin gets his first paycheck and is trying to figure out who FICA Medicare, Federal, State taxes are and why are they taking so much of his money.
wheres the funniest part of the skit? Where his wife tells him to get a real job, and then hes says “BITCH?!”
They def cloned him.
