I was only able to see the first parts of it, but it still makes me sad, especially since I wasn't able to see it all.

It was always more then JUST a kids show. It hit deep and honestly helped me see what unhealthy relationships look like and how we all grow. As human beings

I feel there being tons of filler episodes just made it more sentimental before the end so we got to see more and stuff even if it wasn't important to the storyline always it was always fun to see those episodes :)

brooo 2 years tooo, oh this bring me so much memories. It was like before the pandemic? I build a blanket house and start watching, now a little more after, me crying over my pillow searching YT videos and find a chapter, and then it was all the seasons, me learning the kind of my feelings? dunno but sure this was of the best things that I remember from the pandemic. For me the pandemic wasn't bad actually it was a time when I enter into a lot of internal crisis and music was always by my side

I think the finales last couple words hit the hardest, with the lyric - "Happy ever after never came". The best thing to hear after so long is that you became stronger than the problem and I think this one lyric justifies this with the interpretation of we dont always need the best outcome or even a good outcome to become a better, wiser person. Idk ig im just really passionate :]

this is extra emotional when you grew up watching steven universe, just waching little steven grow up year by year while you're growing up too, then after years of fighting the galaxy,pressure, steven finally takes the time to embrace his human side.

So, I didn't really see Steven Universe when it came out (which will forever be one of my biggest regrets), but when I finally watched it in 2021, I immediately understood why it was so widely beloved. It became an escape for me, whenever I wasn't doing great or even when I just wanted to watch something, I turned to Steven Universe. It's become one of the biggest parts of my life and is so, so important to me. Thank you for this playlist, for real.

The hiatuses were horrible, im glad you got to watch it like you did. Sometimes hiatuses that left on cliff hangers would end with a whole batch of giant filler episodes. It was awful.

Ice Bear has not watched the show, but likes this calm and relaxing atmosphere the music gives off. Ice Bear also likes the background that gives the same effect.

I know it's been only a month but still get back here

Whenever I think about this show, I always think about my little brother. They showed me the movie and I really loved it, and so we watched it together. All 6 seasons, and re-watched the movie together. I love him so much, and I miss him every day while I'm here at college. I'm currently re-watching the show, and I keep crying at just the most basic things, and I think it might be because this is the first time I'm watching the show without them. I'm seeing them in a few weeks for spring break, and I hope that we can continue watching together

It also reminds me of my little brother, because he looks a lot like a steven, and he is the same personality wise. It pains me being far away from him since I feel like I am missing so much while he is growing. But at the same time I couldnt stay, I had to do my own life away from my parents. But man I feel like I left him behind, alone, sometimes its a lot of guilt. I miss him so much every day.

Steven Universe changed my life. It was what kicked off more self acceptance for me and made me more open to being vulnerable and honest about my feelings . It modeled healthy (and unhealthy) relationships and started helping those gears in my head turn at such a pivotal time in my life as I entered young adulthood. I'm coming up on a year in therapy for unresolved traumas and dysfunction and I am miles away from the person I was before in a lot of ways. I owe a big part of this to shows like SU and She-ra. It's very validating to see that yes, it's okay for me to exist as I am and yes, feelings are okay.

growing up i watched steven universe and now as a 15 year old I still cry and the songs like I used to, the connection to steven universe is so deep and I can re-watch it any time and still feel the connection its an amazing feeling and I'm so glad the fandom is still alive, this was my first fandom before I even knew what a fandom was! i love this show and I'm so glad I got to see it growing up.

I feel like " i'd Rather be me with you" has the same vibes that "let me drive my van into your heart" and i love it

I remember sobbing when they did The future series and was crying with him when he had to deal with trauma and started standing up for himself and learn how to be himself without saving someone or being threatened

Well,yes. I believe that was the intention but hidden because..you know. Its a kids show. But the emotion that lovers have on their first time is love,passion,acceptance and ackwardness. That is exactly how Sapphire and Ruby felt the first time they fused! I find this beautiful. I do not know why so many people see the act of two lovers so perverted and sometimes even wrong when its just...love. its acceptance. Waaaatch it! Watch it, watch it, watch it! I'm recommending this show to everyone around me, PLEASE watch it, you'll see, it's incredible. It'll relax you after a long day, be the reason why you wake up in the morning, you will feel like you know the characters personally and then you'll cry because you relate to them so much. I hope I didn't scare you off haha, seriously though, try watching season one if you haven't already and trust me when I say that it becomes better and better as you get further and further into it.

Its a Friday night. Outside your window, you hear the calming pitter-patter of raindrops without any angry thundering stormclouds. You come across a perfect KZread compilation of Steven Universe songs. As you listen, you start to recall memories of your life you've never thought about reflecting upon. Being a toddler, you had nothing to worry about. Life is full of new adventures and experiences, so why not live it to the fullest? As the weeks pass, the process of day and night switching and repeating, every hour of your life is full of fun, toys and cartoons! Now, you're a child in primary school. You now have homework and exams to worry about. This life, this new life, is MUCH, MUCH more stressful than your kindergarten life. Well, at least you're given more freedom.....right? Anyways, playtime with parents are now getting lesser, eventually stopping....forever. Still, you can't help but look forward to road trips back to hometowns, especially since its a long ride in an air-conditioned car, and many more factors! Do I need to explain myself here? You're a teenager in middle school/college/university now. You now have all the experiences, knowledge and information you need to survive in the world....Or as you thought. You think, since you're so old now, you should be given the freedom of an adult, so why is your parents stopping you? Slowly, you start to view them as an obstacle to a perfect life. Very soon, your arguments led to something so large you left the house....till you're an adult./You study as hard as you could and made your parents proud. Getting scholarships, a part time job, helping with the chores, and more... You're the perfect child any parent could ask for. You, though, can't stop thinking about the stresses of life, projects, homework, and the eventual demise of your current life. Adult life. I'm sure everyone dreads this. Sure, being kids, we fantasize about freedom and happiness of adulthood.... But have we ever thought about the rough parts? Life isn't a tycoon. Why does no one understand you now? Why, just why- why is everyone so cruel in this world? Sigh.... You have to stress about money, your current family, and....You know, your parents. They're not going to live forever. Your memories you shared with them, the good times you had with them, fun, shopping, driving elsewhere, and more...They're nothing but simple memories now. Soon, as you know, they will rest easy somewhere else. A lone tear falls down your cheek as you lack the time to visit them, instead remaining in the office to work overtime. (Think about old age yourself, my hands are already dead) Listening to this compilation, you realize it brings out your innermost feelings, your memories, everything. It leaves you at a moment of vulnerability, but- strangely enough, its comforting, saddening, its all a mishmash of... Mixed feelings. You think about the one cartoon series that you relate to the most: Steven Universe. The songs they have is amazing as well, it really touches your heart. You sigh, kick back and drift off to sleep, knowing you aren't truly alone in this world, actually. Learning from Steven Universe, its important that you make a change to change the future. Nothing is perfect, nothing lasts forever, but to make a change in the future is to learn from the past, not to dwell on it. honestly, SU didn't change my life, it changed the way i viewed everything. the world changed all around me, everything was beautiful, and so mesmerizing! i wish i went back to being a kid when i first watched it, seeing such cool characters, and an awesome plot. now im heading off to high school, still remembering the show and songs like the back of my hand! this show is awesome and im surprised that people are just now watching it! im glad they are though, newbies to the show are welcomed in any way!!

"Change your mind" always makes me cry

Ya know. I moved away from my best friend a little more then a year and a half ago. We watched every episode together. New and old. I remember the teary goodbyes and playing Being Human as I drove farther and father away and being in complete tears. The entire way because I left them. I miss them more and more every day. Thank you for this. I needed it. To feel this way again.

This show taught me alot. This show also helped realized not only male and females only fall in love each other, this show basically made me an ally. Hearing all these songs from when I was young is such a nostalgic train ride, so many memories; the hype of the new movie and season, the hype of the crystal gems going the home world, the new fusions. I really have this show a special place in my heart. The music, scenery, characters, etc. They are all special to and to you guys too

Does anyone else love Rainbow Quartz 2.0's voice? It's so happy and fun and it just sounds wonderful when they sing. The Tidying Song is definitely my favorite song in this vid😌

It’s my comfort show as well! It faces so many problems that I have had to face on a supernatural level. It is so calming and the soundtrack is literally the best.

I'm not sure if anyone else relates, but I remember back in 2014 I began learning how to sing because of Steve Universe, and I still remember struggling to sing the majority of the songs in the show. Now 8 year's later and I'm able to sing all of the songs I had a difficult time with and it feels kind of rewarding in a way, like it's a good reminder of how much I've improved over the years. Also everytime I would sing these beautiful songs I would always remember the scenes and the context behind them giving me a huge hit of nostalgia. Anyways I love this show and it's songs🙂👍

Makes me think of how steven was such a happy kid around s1 but as episode goes by up until to last season he becomes more depressed and with these kind of music too? how can you not cry 😢

@@nataleynakata3687 idk steven changed way too much. There was no hint of him being traumatized by anything happening when he was younger and the show was much simpler too. There wasn’t any lead-up so it just ended up feeling cheap to me that Steven suddenly had all these problems with everything

@@humanbean4037 Personally, I think there was some lead-up, even though it often took me a couple of re-watches and some small comments about the reactions for me to get and understand as "lead-up". And, I'm not gonna open this can of worms, but just point it out: emotional problems w/ everything IRL and in media can take time to react to. Sometimes it's instantaneous and sticks w/ you, sometimes it sticks but you have a delayed emotional reaction to it, but it's pretty superhuman if not rare for someone to have absolutely NO reaction and NO problems w/ everything.

This series has brought us so many memories and music over the years. It’s crazy to think about it really being over

This was one of my favourite shows. I remember those ads in 2013. I watched it immediately. It went from a nice show about a boy and his 3 gem caretakers to what it is today. I still love this show. I HAVE to rewatch it even tho I remember what happens.

This Actually Makes me Wanna Cry Sometimes- Just Re-watching The Steven Universe Move/Episodes Over And Over Constantly, Seeing The Crystal Gems Joke & Have Fun Together Is Just Mesmerizing To Me..Especially Garnet Lol..I Hope The Steven Universe Continues..One Day-

i was fully introduced to SU through 'here comes a thought' popping up in a youtube mix when the episode first released. i loved the ambiance of the song and it helped me calm down in the middle of many panic attacks. now i stumbled upon this mix and the song's in it, a perfect timing situation. i've just had a breakdown after remembering how much i was mistreated by my state's cps as a child following an abuse situation. that tore me up just as much as the actual abuse did. SU gave me self respect back. it gave me peace. and now it grounds me tonight as i move to accept that what happened happened and that my emotions are valid. mindfulness is a powerful thing.

steven universe had and still has an impact on me. it showed me to be comfortable with who I am (non binary). it showed me to love others and be supportive with those that are struggling. and to not be scared to ask for help. the whole show has taught me so many important lessons that I think that everyone should know about. thank you Steven universe. thank you Rebecca Sugar. thank you. 😊

Steven universe helped me face chilhood scars that i never was able to close. I always acted on my own, never seeked help from my fathers and did everything myself because they were so protective and careful that i was scared, also i have an older sister that was always so independent and i looked up to be like her. I never asked for help and keep everything for myself.. while watching SU i cried so often because of how everyone helps Steven and are always around him.. I just wanted to smile like him, crying while hugging my mom, afortunately im able to, and i did when i learned that keeping all for myself wasnt healthy, and everyone need helps, specially while being a teenager who is struggling with studies, love, selfsteem, body shame, toxic friendships, hormonal changes, etc etc.

The way Familiar just escalates to Being Human is so beautiful.

I grew up with this show and wouldn’t change a thing, waiting for new episodes, watching the season 1 finale over and over, memorizing stronger than you, theorizing and waiting for the movie, and know every song by heart ,and while watching future and finishing,it managed to do something rarely other forms of media could, it me cry,I love this show and it will remain one of my favorite shows of all time.

I don't know if a show has ever reached my soul the way Steven Universe did. I mean truly, what a MASTERPIECE. It saddens me that we could have had more seasons to the show but didn't. At the same time, I think the creators did a good job with what they got. It sucks to say goodbye, to see things end, especially indefinitely. But at least we can rewatch the show every few years and kind of feel the way we did when we first watched it.

Garnet is easily the best Gem to me, but she has her... irks and sorrows. The pains of all the characters really make me cry inside and root for them to keep pushing forward! (I know that I will try too 🥲)

There is something about Steven Universe music that hits my heart exactly where it aches, and has been aching for years now. It may be nostalgia, or context of the songs. It may even have to do with having to piece together the broken glass pieces that was left by a parental figure that is there but not? Lovely playlist, my inner child is rejoicing.

Spinel was just as heartbroken as me but after listening to found again I feel as if one of my heros told me to keep going and it happened I feel as if I feel cared about and that people love me

This series has some of the best soundtracks I've ever heard! I think this show hits me so hard because I could relate to Steven at times. I was 14 when I first saw the show....and now here I am 18 years old, thinking about all the memories this show gave me. I am really glad I could grow up with Steven.

me and my best friend of 11 years would always watch this show, having sleepovers and binging episodes until we'd fall asleep. that was quite a few years ago, times have changed in the current day. we have drifted apart, and soon our ways will part for good, after school's out. this playlist made me feel things i had long forgotten goddamn

Started watching Steven universe when I was 8 and I’m now 16, ever since I always listened to the music like minimum 25 times a year and I know every song by heart… what I’m tryna say is this isn’t just a cartoon, it really helped me appreciate the people around me and taught how to cherish relationships whiles they last. This is a cartoon that I will remember when I turn 70+ for sure, I still cry when I play the music sometimes I even get goosebumps cause of the nostalgia I just I could rewind time even tho it’s for an hour. I would hope that you guys would tell me how this *cartoon* changed you if it did and how you feel about it.(if it didn’t change you much at least give your opinion on it as a whole)

Steven Universe has a hold on me that nothing else ever has. I found this show when I was in an incredibly abusive relationship. It sounds cliche but this show gave me the strength to get out of it. Now no other show could ever takes its place.
