It is the best thing I have done in my life. It is important to serve with a whole heart. It goes so fast, it might not seems so at times, but once it is finished, we cannot go back and change things. I have loved being a missionary. It is one thing that sticks with you all your life. One never forgets. What we forget is the hard times. What we remember mostly is how we felt, the joy of serving and the great experiences and testimonies. We laugh when remembering the not so nice ones and see how blessed we were to get through them with the help of the Lord... We have fought the good fight and it has made us stronger.

Thank you for sharing "Called to Serve" here!!! As a Convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in my late 20's & with a young family at that time, I didn't have an opportunity to serve a mission -- although I would have loved to do so if my circumstances had been different when I found the Church! Because I would have never had the Blessing of the Fulness of the Gospel without missionaries, I am Forever grateful for the Missionary Work of the Church & my Missionary Couple (with whom I kept in touch until Heavenly Father took each of them home unto Him -- she in June 2009, & he in October 2009)! Now that my children are grown, I hope that I have the opportunity to serve a mission some day after my husband retires from his job! Thank you!!!

Praise the Lord I have been freed from this bondage and can now live for Him alone.
