Earlier in the session Cantù was begging to act as escrow for Hashtag vs Polk heads up. He definitely was going to steal that or take it as a loan with a 7 year payback plan 😂

Doug is the voice of reason here. If you owe someone money you owe them money. Not paying that money back is called stealing. It’s pretty straight forward. There are extenuating circumstances. With that said, I'm talking about being a day or two late, maybe a week for whatever reason (and I'm probably giving them back more for the hassle if that were to happen). Any extended period of time a debt is out there is no good, but sometimes shit happens. The relationship you have with said person is relevant to the discussion.

A lot of time it’s for home games. People play on credit etc and settle up at another time because people don’t want to have massive amounts of cash at one game (asking to get robbed). Other times it’s just because people have played together and think someone is good for it because they’re winning. And it can be tough to have cash at every room in the country. Most of these loans go through without any issue whatsoever and you never hear about them. It’s just a part of high stakes because of people living in different places. But the ones that don’t go through well…. Well they really don’t go over well lmao

He had done that atleast 5 times when this all happened so dude has no fkn right calling anyone out. Coming from someone in the poker streaming business, if poker night in america really wants to start seeing some progress in regards to viewership the production team should really work on updating the display (get rid of the border, find other ways to display hand information that isn’t so overbearing to the viewer). Another note, the lighting needs to be brighter because it is very difficult to see stack sizes and the players’ faces, which is crucial for viewers to get the best experience. Just wanted to give some suggestions, no bad faith. Great to see the lineups improving though, still love the show!

An unpaid, overdue loan isn't "stolen" money; stealing money is a crime. Failing or delaying due payment of a debt is (most likely) a civil matter--not criminal (unless the credit was extended under false/fraudulent pretenses induced by the debtor).

Idk what kind of person Cantu is but i agree what he says about Deeb sticking his nose in someone elses business is fucked up. Trying to call someone out over something at a poker table in front of everybody especially when youre not involved in it and dont have first hand account is uncalled for. A lot of people would have told Deeb to fuck off and mind his own business and possibly got up in his face. Cantu idk anything about him, but Deeb definitely comes off as a condescending arrogant douche at times. But, as they say, between 2 sides of a story, the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
