These Callaway drivers are the most slickest looking drivers I've ever seen. That matte finish and simple classic design is so much better than what Taylormade is doing with the Stealth in my opinion. The Rogue has a timeless look and won't look dated in a couple of years. On top of that, the numbers for the Rogue is pretty damn good and very consistent. Can't wait to try it out.
Rogue Max LS in the bag for a month now. I hit record distances at my local course almost every time I go out. It’s incredible Great feel, ball flight and sound. Best driver I’ve ever had. Ping G425 immediately went up for sale and I don’t regret it ⛳️🔥🚬🐺

Just sold my 425 to buy the max ls
I love the look of these drivers. For me, performance is so much better. I use the g410 right now and whilst the sound isn't great, I get over it quickly when u see my ball in play. I could see myself switching to this as the reviews give me the stability if the ping with a better sound/feel
I did a fitting today and hit everything from Taylor Made Stealth, to EpicMax, to PingG425, Titleist Tsi, Rogue LS TD. My goal is to eliminate the left side of the golf course. Low spin, low launch. Had a 70g X-stiff Tour-AD XC-7 shaft in. For what I'm looking to do with the golf ball, Rogue LS Triple Diamond was it for me. Very impressed with look, sound, feel, and performance. My advice: 1. get fitted (best $100-150 investment). I am currently swinging a Stiff driver, and fitting showed me that I need to be in X-Stiff flex. 2. go into the fitting with a gameplan (eliminate one side of golf course, lower/higher launch, reduce spin / spraying the ball etc) what is your miss? what do you want to correct? 3. remove your ego of what you 'think' is best for you. My heart was 'set' on the pingG425 bc Bubba is the man. But it just wasn't 'it' for me. I hit it well, don't get me wrong, the G425 was a close second choice. Told myself I'd NEVER go back to callaway, well, here we are. Rogue LS Triple Diamond. impressive. My choices in order: Rogue LS, G425 LST, Titleist Tsi, Stealth, Epic. -The G425 is nice nice. The 'complaint' is the acoustic. I wouldn't consider it a deal-breaker, but it is something that stood out to me. Performance was great overall. Close second for me. -The Stealth was okay (maybe little hype / marketing around it). The carbon face is sleek, design is great, it looks great, but performance was 'solid'. Nothing earth-shattering for me. -I DID like the Titleist. I never really liked Titleist drivers in the past: (D2 and D3 I couldn't control), but I found Tsi was way more accurate. Spin was down. Feel was great. This is the first time I'd consider putting a Titleist driver in the bag. Here are some of my Trackman numbers with Rogue LS for reference: Average 116mph swing speed, spin was around 2100-2300, 295-300 carry, 310-320 total (too bad I can't putt) hope this helps!
I'm looking to sharpen up the top end of my bag and sort out my gaps. Callaway seem to have a comprehensive and performing lineup. There's something in there for anyone. Love that you rave about how solid/stable they are. For me, performance isn't just maxing out distance, it's what's going to put me in the spots (more frequently) to score. Biggest contributor to that is my own ability.
I've got the old rogue and I'm with you on the sound, when it's hit well there's no sound like it. Great video 👍🏼
“Bring the green closer” very nice review and comparison of these drivers. Thankyou very much! Just bought myself the LS and I can’t wait to see if I can bring my greens a tad closer!
I am liking the comments about following in the footsteps of Ping in terms of stability and the comments about face tech. The Callaway does sound good… I would go with whatever I feel like I could be comfortable with. BRING THE GREEN CLOSER! LOL….
Was getting fit for the Cobra LTDx with carry 225-240m on centre hits, but 200-225m with off-centre. Tried the Rogue Max LS and the carry was consistent at 240m+ and even bad off-centre hits were 225m+. Was a no-brainer for me. So much more consistent across the whole face.
“Bring the green closer” I really like both these drivers can’t wait til they come out I need one lol
Can't wait to try the max and max ls just to see what benifts me more... Think it will be close 👍👍
I love the honest content
Would love to see you try a few different shaft options! See if you can optimize spin more.
Great review and in the market for a new driver and this appeals. Would like to see a comparison between a SIM2 and the new Callaway
I game the epic max LZs and great stable club. Best bit about callaway drivers and robust - the faces on some other brands really mark up over time.
Good fun, as usual, Mark. ... Just one more. ... Myself, I'd game the max. ... probably. I'll definitely get around to testing them both. Almost no chance I'll buy either one though, I just got a new driver last year. I do like heading out and testing the new stuff though.
Great work, love the look … going to be a popular driver i reckon
Great as usual
Got the Rogue Max LS, I'm seeing a marginal distance bump, but super straight, which is what I really need...Initially I liked the look of the Stealth more, but the Rogue is a player for sure
Thanks Mark, another great review, I have a pre-order and going to try the LS. Love your channel! Any chance you will be reviewing the new Stealth and Rogue fairway hybrids?
Sticking to my G425 this year.
I got fitted for the tri/dia ls and on the day was really good numbers, xstiff 75g shaft and aggressive flights etc, but on the course struggled to really get to grips with it, last week managed to do a head swap with a fellow golfer for the max ls head, and instantly the bad shots are less ugly, the confidence to play with shape and game it has grown straight away, still plenty of grinding to be done with swing but I’m way more happy knowing I’ve got that club now….
just bought today, its awesome!
Be very interested when you get a chance to hit the Triple Diamond LS on not only the spin impact but also as a comparitor to the draw biased max and the more neutral LS. I'm gaming the Triple Diamond LS now more for the fade bias of the head than the spin reduction.
Thanks. Great review. If I could afford it (which I can't!) it would definitely be the Max... purely for the forgiveness.
Bring the green closer. I really like the look and sound of these drivers. Brassy and classy. The Stealth looks like the Eye of Sauron on a stick.
Bring the green closer, really hoping to try this range of drivers out soon 👍
You'll do it Mark.
That’s a really solid driver, callaway on a roll!
Bring the green closer! Great vid
Bring the green closer. Great review, Mark. This is on my short list for new driver this season. Waiting to see what Cobra releases first.

We will see stuff Wednesday I believe. Mizuno is about to release more info about the 2022 STX and STZ models as well.
Hi Mark. Thanks for another informative video. Can you compare the older standard Rogue to the Rogue ST Max? The GC Quad numbers you got for the Callaway C4 driver looked very close to your current gamer.
Bring the green closer. Got to try the new rogues versions and compare to my original rogue sz and 2nd gen epic sz. Both good drivers for me. Amazed at how straight the new rogues appear in testing. So Ping like.
Spin is a function of dynamic loft at impact. A driver with the weight at the back will resist sideways twisting but the weight will want to twist the face up. So they have consistency, high launch and high spin. A weight at the front will be more susceptible to sideways twisting, however, because the weight is more in line with the shaft, it will not wrist the face up as much. They have less consistency, lower launch and less spin. It looks like the Rouge LS has the weight slightly forward than the Max. Would love to see a video explaining the physics of weight placement.

Interesting
Very interesting. Wondering why Callaway spent so much time and resources in r&d and production on 2 "different" drivers that perform so similarly.
Would need to try it against my TSi3 because I think it’ll still be better.
Hey MC another great review. I think the consumer can see thru marketing guff that comes out these days. I would love to see someone do a robotic test like some they do with ball testing. Get all the drivers from Callaway ERC 1 cira 1999 Ping G10 to TM Stealth 2022. Hook them up with new grips, the stock shaft (say stiff flex only) in good condition, set swing speed to the same tour avg 114mph, hit 40 to 50 balls and let the robot do its job.
@cjp301

Humans aren’t robots. A robot hitting the sweet spot with the same swing speed and angle of attack on any club of course will result in comparable numbers. It’s when humans miss the sweet spot and swing inconsistently where you’ll see the biggest different in clubs from 20+ years ago and today and that’s the new tech you’re paying for.
great video
Have you got the new Mizuno drivers yet? Looking forward to seeing the review
Nice gold video graphics at the start.... very sale of the century
My original rogue is staying in the bag, however I will be changing the shaft to optimize my swing. I don’t get caught up in the hype of new shiny. But hey the big box companies have to stay in business, and these clubs look great, I mean look what Taylor made did with Stealth, the tiger red face will sell all by itself.
Bring the green closer ! Let’s hit fairways not trees ! Let’s stop searching for distance from clubs and get it through skill and strength ! Work for it because it can’t be bought ! I’d rather see the green at 305 and you consistently putting it on the green ! That would show me a drivers performance compared to a coupe yards here and there !! Great video mark as always
Hey Mark, what is the difference in weight of the backweights and what happens to your shot if you remove the backweight???
Bring the Green Closer ... funny how the numbers seem to show they are very close, but when you're "GOING FOR IT" at that long green the normal Max seems to be a little more helping vs the LS.
I want your driver swing . Effortless 👍👍👍and still getting out there.. wish you had the st as well
Good effort
Im waiting to see a comparison to Titleist Tsi, everyone else is doing ping/taylormade comparisons, and has forgotten that Tsi is continuing through this year.
Please do a comparison against the Epic Max LS. I'm going to test mine today against the Rogue ST LS.
BRING THE GREEN CLOSER 🤦🏻♂️🤣 Do love the look of this driver this year, wasn't going to change my driver but this is sooooo tempting.....😉🤔
Please make a review with the triple dimmond and why we mortals shouldn't even dream to hit it. How much swing speed do we need to hit a really low spin driver?
I’d gladly trade my epic max ls in for the rogue max ls, purely on looks alone, love the Matt colour scheme.
@kjm0227
2 жыл бұрын
For me I like that the rogue st max ls (outside of the nice Matte color scheme) seems to be a little more neutral biased whereas the epic max ls was more fade biased. As a heel striker when I hit it well the epic goes for miles but when I don’t I’m off into the woods right. Maybe the rogue could keep me on the right edge of the fairway/rough on the bad strikes
@bedhedted
2 жыл бұрын
Allow me to say that to go with its looks, my avg ball speed sits around 142 whereas my current driver is at 138.
I want to see it compared to the Stealth line! Time to make up with Taylormade :)
I have been set on trying out the ping g425 but now I want to try it against the rouge max
It would be helpful to see old rogue vs new rogue driver comparison.
Any chance we can get a comparison between Rogue ST Max LS and Epic Max LS and/or Epic Max LS and TM Stealth +?
Bring the green closer! 💪🏼⛳️🏌🏽♂️
Please do epic flash versus rogue ST. Really any difference that’s significant?
Looks like the LS has a larger weight, any idea what the lab guys say? Still great video and thanks for the info
What shaft is in the ls you’re hitting? The blue or white? 55 or 65? Thanks!!
Given the name love to see it compared against original Rogue Subzero with the weight back. See what the difference is given the time that has passed.
If you pushed the length of shaft to the legal limit could you get those extra few yards?
I'd love to see how it compares to the Epic Max
I like this driver but you got me looking at the Mizuno drivers now. Why don‘t more peoples buy them?!
Mark, off topic I know but Greg Chalmers is a fantastic addition to Hack it out.
COULD YOU PLEASE DO A COMPARISON OF LAST YEARS EPIC MAX LS AND THIS ROGUE MAX LS DRIVER? LASTE YEARS MODEL SEEMED TO HAVE A FADE BIAS , DOES THIS ONE ALSO HAS IT? HOW DO U COMPARE THESE TWO CONSECUTIVE MODELS?
Mark- Please compare the Rogue to the Tsi3. Cheers
Interested to see tee higher and further forward in stance.
MOi v Moi ?? Rogue Moi is 5200 is this the maximum USGA allowed ? Cleveland launcher XL is 5200 Moi Which is best ? A head to head is required Please. It seems TXG have dropped the ball at the moment so you are the man we can rely on . Thanks
Bring the green closer!!
Hidden tech always better than visible tech for me. Just want a nice clean looking club.
Would be good to compare stability/consistency vs ping g425 max and stealth. Also ZX5 which tests well and has been used on tour. Thanks great stuff Mark.

Basically same driver, different head sizes to suit the buyer’s visual preference. Most club purchases come down to looks.
Bring the green closer!
Bring the green closer! 310!
I feel like teeing it up just a little higher with the same angle of attack and path would push the strike up the face a little and drop the spin that little bit lower and launch it a little higher…
@canyonaro
2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. He has lots of low strikes in the studio because he's standing on the pressure mat. Just use a higher tee, Mark!
Bring the Green Closer! Muscle up
Bring the green closer and tee it up higher 😁
BRING THE GREEN CLOSER - As a former teacher and fitter, you can easily tell that the Max suits your swing better. The CG is slightly draw biased and the LS is neutral to fade-ish. Callaway has even mentioned that in their marketing materials. All of your misses with the LS were slightly open face and/or heel which will (as you know) increase spin. The Max will help counter act that some with the slightly heel CG placement.
So I need a LS, max, high MOI, red carbon faced, draw biased twist face driver with jail break & turbulators removed, with a super light counterbalanced shaft. Got it !

"Bring the green closer!"
Enjoyed it, but Tupi should bring the green closer
Bring the green closer Please compare all the new models with Ping G425
Can we see an Epic Max LS vs Rogue ST LS please?
Try switching weights from max to ls. Max weight is slightly heavier.
Hey Mark, it’d be interesting to see these compared with the g425 max/lst since you think the stability feels similar.

@@tdominguez1826 Yup, same here. Kinda crazy how the right driver for your swing can really add distance.
Max for me, but still loving the Mavrik. Bring the green closer
Do you think it would be better if they had half as many drivers available and used the cost saving to reduce prices little. 3 or 4 drivers available from calloway that do the same thing.
"bring the green closer!!!"
Just shows marketing works the Stats say use the Max but the better golfers want to use the LS because they think they should as better golfers. I think you use the club that is easiest to hit whatever your handicap and live with how it looks / what your ego wants you to use .
Bring the green closer - or borrow Matt's speed sticks. MOOOORREEEE POOWEEERRRRR (and a better strike Doh)
Gravity is a theory but good video
Could you confirm, just one more time, which one you prefer the looks of? 😂 the max seems to be getting some very “ping g425 max” ish reviews this year 😊 forgiving and fast… just not as good looking as the max LS 👀 sounds to me like they might have nutted it this year, especially with the Max 🤷🏼♂️
You can do it Mark, 320 big balls...
Love the review Mark. You sound like you're going down the low spin rabbit hole again, and might start the season with the LS, but go back to the Max half through the season after a few low spin dippers. Just to note, Ping isn't coming out with a new driver this year. They can't beat what they put out last year.
@GUnit40W

Haha, he might. This one doesn't seem as extreme as previous low spin models though, but if he goes into the triple diamond low spin model then you definitely know he is lost down the low spin rabbit hole.

G425 vs the Rogue .... Who's more forgiving?? 🤔

You could always bring the green closer.
It's amazing how he hits it 300+ with only 158 ball speed, the Taylor made stealth looks interesting but this new Rogue seems to be the better driver.

Seen Mark and others criticise Foresight’s calculations on those low spinners. Also depends on how the turf conditions are set. In the UK at the minute roll is almost non-existent! Muddy plop and stop.
@jim60631
2 жыл бұрын
Google Ping's ball speed chart, with the correct launch conditions and 10-20 yards of roll its doable. Hell with a high enough launch and low enough spin you can almost carry a 160 ball speed 300 yards. However that may not be super playable
@davidmeeks7449
2 жыл бұрын
He’s not carrying it 300. If you get a positive angle of attack and take the spin off, in total distance you can get close to 300 with roll out at 158 mph ball speed. I am very impressed with the Rogue ST lineup. In every review, they seem so stable. It’s like a forgiving Ping driver with much better sound.
Whether technology is visible on the outside of a head or hidden inside makes no difference to me on woods or hybrids - as long as it looks relatively normal on top at address. On irons, I like a more traditional look at address. As long as I can't see the technology at address, I don't care if it is visible on irons or not. I like adjustable woods including the ability to change the head weight. I use overlength clubs so I like to reduce the head weight to keep the swing weight from getting way too heavy.
