This is what I love about Mark's videos. They aren't just "Here's a golf issue, do this and you'll fix it. Thanks, see you later.", its educational. Everytime I watch I learn why something is happening, why your body and mind are deciding to do this movement when you want something else, etc. Great great video Mark, cheers.

Mega. I reckon Mark is THE best coach on KZread. Everything makes sense, not bogged down with technical BS to make himself look/sound better. Great video guys

Cracking video lads! The way we can measure our golf swings these days is world class. But you need someone in the know to dissect and break it down for us. Amazing how many coaches/students aren’t focusing on having the club face in a strong (closed/delofted) position. I say the words supernate and so many coaches screw their nose at me. But my coach has always stuck by it and explains why it’s so important! Yet so many coaches I’ve seen before, oh let’s rotate, open up more. 🤦‍♂️

This is a great video and makes so much sense. Helps show me the importance of the wrist angle throughout.

The only club I have a problem with is the driver. It is a real problem when you go to US kids local tours, but with diving videos, I could understand better with a clear picture of what I was doing. Thank you:)

Really enjoyed this video. Talk on swing mechanics I've heard before but never really been clear on or taken in. Seeing the lesson in real time with all the data and visuals makes this so clear to understand

Same thing i have discovered recently, just how important it is to have the loft reducing early in the ds makes me want to drop the club inside and not rotate the shoulders aggresively, great to see the visual backing this up

Such an interesting video. I have exactly this issue and have not rotated my knuckles because of the body rotation issue. No other coach has explained it in this way. Can’t wait to try this out on the range!

Reduce loft in downswing to increase loft at impact.I like that never heard that before.

I've been to around 12 different instructors over the last 15 years. Usually go for two or one lessons a month and give it time, I practice my ass off. I've only ever dropped two shots off my handicap. I've given up on ever improving. It baffles me how people can get this improvement from one lesson. Maybe all the 12 instructors are just taking me for a mug.

The great Seve was self taught and it did him no harm. Too many swing thoughts can wreck your game.

Seve was largely self taught but he did live near to and spent many hours on a golf course as a kid so took on board good habits at a young age. I played other sports as a kid and am now playing more golf than previously and have a handicap of 6.7. I wish I had lessons earlier as I truly believe it would have improved my game but to me golf was a social event . Ot wouldn't have made me anywhere near good enough to compete at a high level but would have helped me to be as good as I could have been.

From someone who has also seen multiple instructors throughout the past 10-15 years and finally found someone who I gel with. Consistency is key. Seeing a coach too often can also be detrimental regardless of how good a student and or coach are. You need time and reps and LOTS of exaggeration to make the smallest of changes. Then it comes down to how we as an individual practice, our expectations along with recording of stats when we play. Where are you loosing strokes? Do you know your weaknesses and strengths. Golf is complicated. But sometimes we make it so much harder than it has to be. Take a back seat. Stick to one good instructor, don’t over think what he/she is telling u. Compile stats, and work on weaknesses and most importantly have fun out there.

Is this the same move with irons as driver. I have worked with an instructor who tries to get me to put my knuckles down in the dirt on the down swing. This video really hit home for me. Thanks

I know you are making a video here but I could see a lot of people being overwhelmed by having 2 instructors talking over each other like you all are doing. I have heard that every thing a golfer does is a reaction to loft and this is a great example. If this guy understands that loft is the key to this he will work out the match ups

@@MarkCrossfieldI have a similar issue and have been setting up with a very slightly closed club face and then gripping, as I just haven’t been able to turn the knuckles down enough. So far, has been working reasonably well. Do you see any issues with this Mark?
