I am now 62 when I was younger I had three abusive relationships the first I didn't know what to do and finally left . The second one I really didn't do anything he gotten caught my the police getting ready to hit me. the third one I was very ill and I was beaten everyday in front of my small children. but I say this because I prayed a lot and I wanted to give up and God would not let me. It has to be your child that leaves. I remember getting my head beaten in to a cider block. So I went to a psychiatrist. And she told me theses words because I told her and showed her my bruises and I asked her why do I keep getting with these types of men she told me I want you to look in the mirror every day and when you are finally able to look into your eyes in the mirror then you will finally love yourself. And saying this too you it has to be the person. Just be there when she calls. I had family but they never helped me when I told my family they asked what did I do to him. And this made me stronger and I left when he left the house. But let her know I strong she is.
