It's like that bogus argument that one has the right to arms but not to ammo, but that is also a ridiculous argument since a firearm is not usable as a firearm without ammo. One has the right to a car, but not to gasoline. And this turns the 9th and 10th Amendments on their heads as well. We don't just have rights that are enumerated.

This Californian just got firsthand experience of the 1/30 rule... I decided to "pull the trigger" on some purchases I wanted to make in order to avoid the new tax, so I ordered a bunch of stuff from a large sporting goods retailer. I thought I remembered something about being only able to purchase one every thirty days, yet I had no problem ordering MULTIPLE "items." Apparently you can ORDER as many as you want! You can only pick them up one at a time. So I get my S&P next week.

If these judges and legislators could be held personally financially and criminally liable for trampling a constitutional right, things would be different. I’m sure if I trampled on a constitutional right, I would be held responsible.
