Caitlin demonstrates the Make Noise René 2 sequencer
Музыка
Caitlin has been learning about René Descartes at school which inspired us to add a Make Noise René 2 and Tempi to the Mad Music Machine.
This a simple patch: René X channel to E370, Channel 1, René Y channel to the E352, René C channel to the System 1.
No other sounds sources or effects were used but we have a few extra patch cables to feed the audio to Bitwig for Analysis.
The audio in this video is (as usual) straight from the Camera Phone with no editing - but now we have hit 1000 subscribers we may try and improve our recording technique in future videos!

Lovely stuff. Keep up the good work.
holy moly these are the coolest euro videos ever, please come back ! Im nearly 40 and you understand this module better than me
CV is strong with this one.... Move over Suzanne Ciani .....
How very delightful. I am sure Suzanne Ciani would appreciate this. A round of applause indeed. : )
The future is bright for this kid!
How cool is that! wish I had access to a modular as a youth, what a lucky kid!
Caitlin, you're amazing! Wish I have a friend like you :) Keep going - and endless support to you from an elecroacoustic musician from far far Russia.
Hurray! You are so smart! I want to be just like you when I grow up! I have a René (classic). I am trying to learn how to use my new Qu-Bit Nebulae. I really like Qu-Bit Surface and Bloom.
Hey you rock. You powerful human.
This is probably one of the best and most comprehensive tutorials and demonstrations on the Rene, thanks!
Thanks for this demonstration, Caitlin! You rock!
Good job Caitlin. Thank you for showing us the capabilities of Rene. : )
Best demo I’ve seen of René 2. Bravo!

Fair point! - we originally started this channel for friends, family and local people who attend our STEM events - it was just a bit of fun really and simple smartphone recording was all we needed. We have since been surprised how it has taken off so maybe it is time to up our game a bit :)

@@TheMadMusicMachine I'm sure a mic is less expensive than an e370 ;). Keep up the amazing work. I'm trying to get my little guy interested in this channel - so far he prefers Thomas. I have much work to do.
And THAT’S how Vanna White got started.
and l thought rock´n´roll can never die
adorable! Hope Caitlin is still playing synths and reading philosophy. This makes me excited for when my second cousins get a little older. They're interested in music, and I'm looking forward to introducing them to modular someday, but the oldest is 5 right now, which I think is a little young for modular (though I'm planning on getting him a BlipBlox for his birthday). By the way, what software is that on the computer? Looks fun
Increible, todo mi apollo para ti linda niña.
Awesome! Of you‘re thinking about upgrading your gear you might also add a Gopro(like) camera. In this video it could have been interesting to see Rene‘s blinkenlights for the different channels. Anyway, subscribed!
I just got a make noise system and Ive been having a hard time understanding how the whole thing works, its amazing Caitlin can understand how everything works and relates. Bright future ahead of her
Oh look, tree pretty!!!
What is the name/brand of the audio analyzer you were using on the computer screen?
