Love Angel Reese but you don’t manipulate the game that way. That game was over. You dribble the ball out and start a new double double streak the next game. Records only mean something in the heart of the competition. Winning with integrity should be more important than forcing individual stats.

I think that’s easy to say when it’s not you. When the game is won who cares.. if she’s playing for herself and they’re losing that’s different. It’s not the best look but you can’t expect everyone to be willing to sacrifice personal stats for the integrity of a game, there are some who only play to get somewhere bigger after and she is one of them tbh. She’s not one I ever expect selflessness from lol..

@kelvinkillings3742 they had like 6 seconds left and had a lead that secured them the win. Instead of dribbling the ball out like teams usually do Reese went in to get a foul so she could get her 10 points for a double-double

Stewart & Ionescu is the dominant duo in New York that is gonna give all they have in every game while the rest of the team is growing stronger around them. Cardoso is gaining momentum with the Sky & her supporting cast (players & coaches) so she’s putting up more points, rebounds & blocks ! Complete utter BS about Angel. She had 9 points, there were 10 seconds left and Carter was dribbling out because Chicago had the comfortable lead. Then Mabry told Carter to get the ball to Angel, Carter passed to Mabry who passed to Angel who then, with 6 seconds on the clock, went into some moves and got fouled. This was not in the flow of the game. Caitlin Clark was totally different in that her star center was in foul trouble and she almost brought her team back from a near 20 point deficit with getting 15 points in the 4Q. She also had 5 steals and 3 blocks so she affects the game in many different ways. And why did you say Clark had 29 points and not talk about the assists at 13 and that's a "double double" as well. Also, show her passing because that's the most outstanding and developed aspect of her game. And A'ja is the best player in the league putting up monster stats on both ends,.

ESPN Makes a complete segment on double doubles - that just means getting 10 rebounds and 10 points. But only says "Clark got 29 points". Failing to note Clark did something that NO PLAYER HAS EVER DONE - 29 points, 13 assist, 5 rebounds, 5 3pointers, 3 steals. First, as a 48yo, I can't stand the flowers phrase...I just want people off of my lawn, so that's on me. Nothing wrong with the phrase, it's a me thing. Now, on to Lobo...one of the main reasons the W got off the ground to begin with...she captivated America with her collegiate career, so who better to talk about these rookies? I largely agree with you here, but I think she & most of the folks we see on ESPN simply get the "objectively" part wrong. AR is having a historically great rookie season, & for that, she gets a truck-load of flowers. CC is showing to be a multi-generational hyper-star who's changing the fundamental way(s) the game is played. The W is sort of like the NBA was pre-MJ...overly physical to fill the dearth of skill, & dominated by bigs, but the NBA took decades to really change. CC plays a modern NBA style of basketball, at the most elite of levels, & she's changing the game...10-years from now, just about every W team will play an up-tempo offense with emphasis on 3-pt shooters, like the NBA does now because of Steph, & math. But it's not just that, she's also the league's best passer & playmaker already, & an elite rebounding guard who blocks shots & gets steals, while needing to improve on off-ball defense, but that's more of a team-wide strategy thing. Yes, both women are great & both deserve flowery words on ESPN, but CC is clearly far greater, inarguably. That's the part I'm not hearing/seeing on ESPN...that's the objectively true bit that isn't being said, & it feels like agenda-driven gaslighting.

I agree with you on everything you say about Caitlin here. Caitlin AFAIAK is a lock for rookie of the year despite being poorly coached, having to deal with her teammates who can't handle her passes and/or convert her dimes. Angel Reese has been a gritty banger on the glass playing pretty good defense. But, that ending of the Dream game was pretty embarrassing.

Not all games. But in a few , Angel Reese have got help from rival players and her own teammates to keep the double double streak . Call me a hater if you want. But there's a lot of prove and even in the game today . She definitely was giving that streak alive from rival team players. Foul her , when there was no need and she was left wide open before that the one suppose to guard just decided to left her alone ? . Cmon. In multiple games. Reese is short of double double but 20 seconds left they just give it to her. Lame. I wouldn't even feel proud of a accomplished knowing others are helping me just to make sure she stay in the rookie of the year race . Even the narrators talking about how she ain't really there In scoring . She only really good at rebound. Scoring is given to her . Blind won't see if. But prove is there if you look. I mean yeah but does that really matter. Don’t game stats show what you are able to do in a game? We don’t have evidence that the dream player fouled her just so she could get the shots for the streak. I’ll admit to wishing that CC’s coach wouldn’t have taken her out in the game where she only needed one rebound to get a triple double so I’m not gunna be mad at people for scoring if the opportunity presents itself. I’m of the opinion that Angel Reese is not making double doubles look good because she just barely got some of them and she just doesn’t seem like an actual threat the way CC is except for when she’s really fired up. Not saying she isn’t great, just not as dynamic but I don’t think all these stat padding accusations for CC and Angel are helpful.. just seem like a weird reason for criticizing a player. I care more when they’re not trying at all when they could still win… not when they are still trying when the game is already won or lost

Can we get one game where the defense can be played on Caitlin Clark like it's played on Angel Reese.. Clark would probably go for 50. .So in reality Angel Reese is really only got eight double-doubles in the last 10 games.. because of the Seattle game . If that was a double-double. Then that's like Joe Biden trying to find his way off the stage. They talked about the double doubles being McDoubles more like homeless hamburgers...
