Thank you, I miss my Father Joe Czuleger US Army and WWII veteran who passed away Dec 26 2022 at 95 years young. His battalion was the first to possibly go into Japan. If they did not drop the bomb, we know what history unfolded. But his battalion was the first into Japan after the bomb been dropped. Had been delayed due to a typhoon by about 4 to 6 weeks. He did say that the Japanese were very gracious when they arrived. His time in the Pacific theater was spent in the Philippines at Jolo..

So proud of my daughter-in-law, Tracie Hunter McClellan, and the work that she does to support our WW2 heroes and the memories of how brave they truly were. She is definitely an asset to our family.

So important to get these mens' stories while they are among us. We see the older version but sometimes forget that they were young men once "They gave their tomorrow's for our today". God bless each and every one

I wasn’t expecting to get so emotional watching this. Makes any thing I thought was tough in the Navy during my time feel like nothing compared to these men who gave it all.

This was so emotional 😢 I have such a deep appreciation for all of the individuals within the military, but especially for the ones who served in ww2. Every US citizen should understand how important ww2 was.

In the late 90’s when I started as a Paramedic I used to see so many WWII vets. You’d see the pictures in their homes and I would always ask. I was lucky enough to hear some amazing story’s from some amazing men. As time went on we would see less and less of them. Truly the greatest generation

My grandfather wasn’t in Pearl Harbor but he did fight in Iwo Jima and he did wait in boats off the cost of Japan as part of the invasion force And he was part of the peacekeeping force in Nagasaki. I look at all of these photos and hope to find him. He told me he watched the second time they put the flag up on mt serabqchi. He was busy doing something the first time.
