How do you like it?!? I’m about to purchase a 2015 XTS luxury FWD.
Since this guy took over the Consumer Reports, European cars began to rise in their reliability scores.

I just bought one a couple months ago with 23,000 miles on it. It's beige (or gold some people refer to it as), AWD, 3.6 luxury package. Any issues with it?

I have a 2013 XTS. I love the car. That being said several separate issues with the CUE system. They changed the screen, 2nd time reprogrammed the hmi module, 3rd visit changed the entire tuner.
What a beautiful car! I must have it now!
i think they should bring back the couch seats

I have one XTS Premium love it! The CUE is a little frustrating at first
Bought a 2017 and it has a smooth ride
Im 26. I never really cared for the XTS until now. I recently rented a refreshed XTS after being in a 3 car pile up. Until using an XTS while injured I never had any appreciation for the car. It is incredibly spacious inside and smooth on the road. The seats or car or both sit up higher than my Chevy and are far easier to get in and out of. While the CUE system in the XTS isn’t better than a simply volume knob I found myself easily using the steering wheel controls most of the time and did not have any problems using CUE in the car. I honestly wished I owned an XTS now.

Test drove the XTS yesterday. I was surprised that I actually liked it. However, I would have KILLED for a volume knob instead of the touch-sensitive volume controls.
As usual, Consumer. Reports never gets what beauty is. My mother-in-law says it hurts to be pretty well it does and if you want a big beautiful fastback car, maybe you need to have a small trunk opening.
Well I got a platinum 2014 Cadillac xts I love it 10 yrs later I like the Cadillac ct6 to I'm going fishing I need that Cadillac ct6
Nice..how many horse's of Power?
like to see how this stacks up....looks awesome
very nice...i look forward to the V series!
It's a big sedan, it isn't supposed to be "sporty". That's why they have the CTS and ATS. The reduced isolation could be a problem. Six gears however is sufficient.
I saw one of these a day after it came out at my work! I walked by it and came up close to the car but then I realized people were still inside. It's a nice car! I would never get one.
i love this car, in fact, i love cadillac brand in general, i wish they had cadillac in australia.
I want this car!
Hopefully this is something that can hold to time as well, I love reliable cars.

Good Review.........Its basically a Chevy Impala built for a show room. I'd stick with the Impala Premier, which is built more for everyday family use. Also cheaper parts and expenses in the long run.
I wish these cars with cue and myford touch would keep commonly used things like the air and radio controls with real nobs. I think Dodge actually did very well with the Uconnect system in the Charger. It has very little lag and still maintains real volume, seek, and air nobs or buttons.
Wtf because of the price you expect a 8 speed no most people say that's to many gears for a car anyways my Seville comes with a 4 speed in it I think a 6 speed auto is perfect 7 speed is to much gears
Side note the cue control system shuts off and on randomly
its not even a Malibu platform its a platform that Opel developed when they were making the Opel Insignia in 2008 now GM is using thatplatform in every sedan possible... The platform is good, front wheel drive and all wheel drive configurable. It was designed to take on the VW Passat in EU.. :)
How about V8 for XTS or Ecoboost V6?
No electrical issues
What's "overhang"?
Very nice car. I like it.
Hertz is gonna love this thing.
The reviewer said it all in the very first paragraph. He referred to the popular and well selling but DTS but that Cadillac wants to make sure all cars match with "their" styling vision. This is what's wrong with Cadillac. Make a big luxury car like Cadillac has always been known for and I will buy a Cadillac! But sadly, now in order to buy a big Cadillac, you have to buy a truck! I do own an Escalade, but this is not the Cadillac I know. Next time I'm going to buy a GMC Denali. And if I wanted a sporty American car, I would buy The Camaro SS or a Corvette, which I did!
Iv heard the chassis isnt stiff
Love! Love! Love!
good looking caddy.
Smoked my first xts v tonight with my 392 biatch, with the same amenities in a car for 3/5 the price and 2x the performance
Well he's going to love the 2014 CTS-V with the twin-turbo V6 and 8 speed automatic. Apparently someone at Cadillac watched this video and put the 8 speed in.
With the huge overhang over the trunk, I think they should have made this a 5-door hatchback kind of thing like the old Mazda6 5-door. It'd still look pretty much the same only that it would be 200% more practical.
In Love!
I like everything about this car it has a very handsome exterior with an interior to match, however I would like to have a bigger engine under hood.
They've said no V series for the XTS. Makes sense as it's meant to be a big comfy sedan. Plus, it's FWD. I believe a twin turbo V6 engine options is coming though.
Like the 8 speed ZF transmition used on the cheaper chrysler 300
Thus is an awesome car, hopes it has longevity!!! I think thus people have their paid or personal fans and down others
Shoulda just took all the cadillac emblems off and slapped a few Toyota emblems on it...maybe then it would be a better review

No, it wouldn't have. Because American cars aren't built as well or last as long as Japanese ones.
This is not grandpa car he won't figure out how to turn the radio on..a major loss of customers..i own a 2007 dts i love it, its my style of cadi power when i need it and long my father owns a 00 deville dts perfect condition for the year

true but i have notice just like the iphone and the new android they are smarter than u think. some people dont like change but as i get older i had to learn to change with this new era or u will be left behind. i have the cue system and i love it. i dont want no knobs anymore. but still like what u said. it has some truth to it but the new caddy will blow your mind on the ride with the new ride control. look at the new ATS and the CTV Road and Track has it and the best Suspendtion int the would

You Cant have á Accident wen use de radio📻👀how to Learn?NO C.D.stereo?
during the end of the video, the ground clearance of the car matches any suv. that is weird.
This dude sounds like Napoleon Dynamite's brother. " Napoleon, you're just upset because I sit at home chatting with hot babe's on the computer all day".
Looks similar to caprice waw what an improvment
with those wagon wheels and rubber band tires, no wonder it lacks isolation over the rough stuff.
nice
I guess not to many people agree with this. The XTS is selling as fast as it is built. Looks like a pretty damn nice car to me. And i would guess those who are buying it agree.
Really Councerned abaut not have a C.D.stereo you Cant have a"Accident?takes Long📻time 2Learn 👀on the radio?
The last of the beautiful big body!
if anyone owns that vehicle in real life please a feedback will be appreciated . specially electronics reliability. if any experience on Maintenance cost. I'm a used cars buyer that's why I'm concerned. thank you ..

My CUE system and electric systems been good since I bought mine in 2017
In watching a plethora of reviews, it would seem that CUE is generally disliked by most.
Also, if you purchase the XTS, you will also receive an iPad. Also, the dealer will teach the potential purchaser how to use the CUE system.
@chesspro22k it got a lot of leg room I'm 6ft7in and had good head n leg room and the sales man was 6ft3in and sat in tha back seat behind to show how much room it got it look small but it got a lot of room
If anyone is buying this car, only use synthetic oil, synthetic transmission fluid, and if equipped with hydraulic steering synthetic steering fluid. For AWD models, use synthetic differential fluid. It will improve performance, fuel economy, and most importantly reduces engine and other mechanical wear, which also helps in resale value.
since i got a ps3 ive always hated touch sensetive buttons.
The guage cluster (speedo, tach) looks very Jaguar-like.
I have a 2016 Cadillac XTS great car only bad thing is that the older models look almost identical so I don’t get the respect on the road that would make the ride much better

dag.. how tall is that dude.. he makes teh car look like a SUV or something. I played on the CUE system.. it's okay.. need to be a litle faster in touch response.. i'm sure that will be an adjustment feature. but it only took me 5 min to figure out the basics.. another 20min to get really fimilar with it.. all in all.. a nice system. Premium sound system is a must though. Good Job Cadillac.. really nice, really nice.
the 2012 fleetwood
the side windows from the drivers seat look tiny & confining
This XTS is mainly aimed at the chauffeur market and older generations... The CTS will grow in size and become a true 5series, A6, E-class competitor in the near future.
Cadillac STS 💞 Cadillac XTS4 💞 BMW 7 series 👎 Mercedes Benz S class These cars are the things of the past 👎 The best cars are made by Cadillac engineering GM 💞 Thanks for posting your review on Cadillac XTS4 💞
I was able to rent one of these on my last trip. I really loved it and thought the world of it. My only gripes were the engine felt unrefined, and the flush buttons. Whenever I left the car outside the hazards would come on randomly, my thought is that they heated up and came on. It was odd.
there won't be a V series. The man test driving the car said it wasn't sporty which he takes up as a negative trait. What a lot of people including the guy with CR doesn't get was that the XTS is suppose the be the bread and butter sedan. It wasn't meant to be sporty especially on a FWD drivetrain. To do that Cadillac would be tarnishing the V series nameplate, its meant for RWD cars.
Does anybody agree when he said the trunk has a small opening
That's a big ass front wheel drive car........
There will be a rear-wheel drive Omega-based model coming out in a few years. Not sure what it will be called. However the XTS looks good in videos and should look a lot better in person. However the standard power & six-speed auto is not enough for me. If I was in the market to buy the car, I would wait if GM decides to use an 8-speed auto with twin-turbo V6 in the car in few years. I would purchase with AWD with platinum. By far the spendid sedan could be light years ahead technically...
nice fuckin car
GM has surveys taken and no doubt has determined that buyers of a big luxury Caddy don't care which wheels are doing the work. They probably don't even know what kind of drive the XTS has. Those consumers who do care and still want a Caddy can always go CTS or ATS.
from certain angles it looks like the malibu and the sonic
Yeah. But with all of the 7 and 8 speeds coming out these days, you have to admit 6 speed seems a bit dated. It's like a modern day sports car having a 4 speed manual in these days. Come on! GET WITH THE TIMES. But I do LOVE the XTS. I'd choose it over any of it's German ravels any day! Cadillac should really consider building a AWD only 8 speed XTS-V, to REALLY up the ante.
His complaint about re-learning the buttons just to look cool is invalid. If we all thought like him we would still be using walkmans instead of ipods. i do agree about having to look at the touch screen for too long.
The platform is fine and it's not a tarted up Malibu. Expect a RWD flagship based on the Omega platform in a couple of years.
V6?????
id personaly like this car if it had a nine speed transmission
Dee James, this motor is more powerful and fuel efficient than the North Star v8.

Consumer Reports likes every car that Is Not American & has been that way since the early '80s #ConsumerDistorts
The front end looks a lot like the late Mercury Milan sedan. Cadillac should just do a traditional body on frame RWD V8 full size sedan again. The 96 Fleetwood Brougham was the the last real Cadillac.
Anyone who uses any Adam sandler reference , for any reason has a serious credibility issue right from jump. So despite worldly wisdom of Adam sandler, I think I'll keep buying my Cadillacs. But thanks for solidifying my support of a beautiful and reliable car like Cadillac by your comparisons to a b list celebrity and his meaningless work.
Motor Trend, Car and Driver and Inside Line have a history of being Cadillac's groupies and favoring the Cadillac's newer equipment with out criticizing it's obvious mishaps or pitfalls. I don't think you can get a credible review from any of those other three contributors. I for one think this XTS is a definite improvement, but I also recognize the shortcomings big or small such as the huge truck with a tiny opening and the CUE system's confusing settings and adjustments.
They need to fix the back.
I hate touch sensitive buttons in cars i think they look tacky tho nice interior and ext.
@yoshiakik.5332

Do you still hate touch sensitive buttons as most cars are going large tablet for pretty much everything?
Yes and considering you can get into an E class V8 for about that price it is a big glaring deficiency I think. I guess Cadillac has to protect its "V" line somehow huh?
@liberalweirdo7886

You can’t even come close to getting into a V8 e class for the price of an XTS man stop lying
I kinda like it, but AWD should be standard.
the back end and c-pillars looks odd and somewhat like Lincoln
That big ole car is powered by a V6? what happened to the powerful V8 Northstar
Regal GS anyone?
When a cars has too many gears people complain about the car constantly hunting for the right gear... and when it has 5 or 6 it's just not enough... Make up your mind people!
Seats in the 2018 are extremely uncomfortable extremely
3:31 look like jaguar xj ~
You all forget bottom line dictates.. The DTS has always been the best seller, this XTS is basically a modern version for FL and CA senior condo parking lots. At least Caddy is pushing the envelope by covering all it's bases, from ATS to this, whatever it is...
No MB or any other German car comes with a V-8 for that is near the price of an XTS.
Why does it look like it's got as much as ground clearance as a jeep compass and the wheelbase is to short it looks like a bettle with a sedan body
Wake up everybody. The Americans have been making the best cars for years now. No more excuses to buy foreign brands. I have a Cadillac, and it is hands down the best car I have ever owned.
Love the car; loathe the reviewer. This guy complains about anything and everything there is to complain about. I give up on consumer reports.
I know right? A car of this type should be RWD & what's strange is that their other cars the ATS & CTS are RWD, but not this?
2:59 sums up the major fault with this car.
