puncture the oil filter with a screwdriver or punch, it will empty it out and you will have less of a mess when you take the filter off.

That’s a clever idea. After most of the oil would drain I’ll crank the engine and shut it off after a few seconds so it’s just enough to pump the oil out of the filter. It also works but it’s more risky than punching a hole

I would believe it cuz I can see the drips on it the bottom of the oil filter when you was just showing at the beginning I was thinking to myself then that thing is leaking

How do u reset the oil percent back to 100% from 31%? What buttons do u press?

Go to oil section on your dash where it shows the percentage then hold the check mark till it says 100%

@@silentweezy1001 GM are very EZ! Turn the ignition key to the ON (engine off) step on the GAS pedal 3 times gently. This will reset the oil life.

Press “i” Go to oil life % Press and hold ✅ ( last button below the i button for 5 sec Its should say 100%

i stopped using stp oil filters bc they will demage the thread on the oil filter housing, they screwed a 07 civic and a 05 focus; it seems that they are made in china now 💯😵👀 poor bastards 💩

I use mobile1 or STP. Any oils do work ok. Just do a pure oil not a synthetic and change every 3-4K miles.
