That new exhaust they came out with work's way better and it's way quieter. We had our exhaust upgraded to that one shown in the video and had our Green APU serviced. I went with one of our driver's who was having the Green APU installed in his Peterbilt and he was like wow that's cool. Huh u let driver's take shower's. And i was like yeah i took one when they was doing one of our new truck's we brought for the company. And he was like BRB went and grab his backpack and he took a shower and even did his laundry. And he was impressed on how it handled. He said this is way better then the one (Not Green APU) Cause the one he had was so loud.

Love my Green APU!!! 2063 hours on mine in less than a year. That equals about 1,630 gallons of fuel saved, or about $5,704 @ 3.50 per gallon. I figured about two years would be my break even point on my purchase... And I'm not trashing my ISX by idling it.

My neck of the woods that's 355 travel that often.

Tie fresh clean air through truck air cleaner system same as with coolant and exhaust. 1000 hours is equivalent to 35,000 miles . Little 3 banger won’t go much over 150,000 miles of equivalent from hours ! .

Air filter housing looks identical to a diesel John Deere gator one, if it’s the same it’ll have an inner and outer filter which does a great job muffling intake noise

Always wondered what connecting the Green APU to the exhaust stacks? That would take the sound above the cab.

My AP wasn't that brand I didn't hear much good what is the promise right into the exhaust stack and it works

That APU mechanic was quite meticulous. Will you get an APU for the Ford, or does its Air Con work well enough, or have you not found out yet?

I thought the exhaust was plumbed into the main exhaust pipe on the big engine. Huh. Would that be desirable, or even possible? would you need a 1 way valve?

Why not feed the APU exhaust into the stack? I'm curious if anything bad would happen.

Or run an exhaust pipe a little further back on the frame of the truck.. Keep that noise away...

Old school lap belts back then. Semis got shoulder belts in the 1990s, even though cars started getting them in the 1960s.

I just idle the truck. Apu doesn’t break even until 1,000 hours yearly. I prob idle 80 nights a year.😊

Because he was busy with doing other things, plus he was a guinea pig what with being their first COE and trying to figure out how it would handle compared to conventionals. They wanted that data.

I don't see how you're going to convince customers that you're a meticulous worker and make them look at your finished driver's seat. They will instead believe that you are a negligent driver. We don't expand by scaring customers.

Orwell's priority is mechanicals before beauty. Time and money allowing, the beauty stuff will happen. The new to Steve polished drives are currently on the truck, they are original style aluminum rims with the correct holes and mounting.

They just repurposed lawn mower air filters and housings 😂 high tech shit

Exactly. Easy to get parts. The biggest problems APUs have is parts too specific for one unit. They VERY SPECIFICALLY brag they use commonly sourced parts for ease of getting parts and fast repairs. But do troll again.

How come they never tapped the exhaust right into your stack
