I have 14 Cabot's.I have been collecting them since they started making them.If you put this gun up against any 1911 fit and finish wise.Nothing compares and it better be that way for the price.I worked hard for my money so I put it in what I love.The owner sends me ammo through the mail all the time,and tshirts and stickers,birthday cards etc etc....I love Wilson combat have over 36 of them.

FYI... In the early 1980s, Randall Firearms Co. built a small number of left-handed 1911s.

Ok now the TRP will not turn your fingers into hamburger meat unless you have girly hands.if it bothers a person take sand paper 2 it.this is a sweet 45 thanks for sharing 👍 new sub.

I recently was gifted a Cabot Damascus Ladder Deluxe by my wife, it had the flat trigger and I had it swapped to the tri-star lol. Video coming soon BTW :)

Awesome video, man! Never realized how much thought and ingenuity they put into their guns, I always thought they were just really pretty 1911s. Loved the music in the beginning and end of the video, btw.

You mis-interpreted. I said a flat surface for the pad of your trigger to actuate. Meaning the curved triggers on the wall (save for the MP5) have a flat non-radiused edges on the face. It's easier (for me at least) to get a better feel as to when the sear will break. Does that make sense?

Wow, meteorite 1911, John Browning would be proud! Love the review, but I would like to see the slide broken down and details of the inside of the slide including extractor and firing pin, and hammer stop. Funny if they don't offer flat trigger option, that so many people prefer over curved. Do they use ISMI springs?

This is accomplished by the ramped breach face. One simple modification that anyone can have done to their 1911.

Is the slide stop notch peening normal?

Does the movement of the eyebrows help with stabilisations? Lol

I love the gun. Your screwed if it jam’s!!! Break Time!!! Just give me 10 minutes to break it down and I’ll be back in the fight... Ha ha I doubt it it has nasty jams. I feel quality when the trigger is pulled.

Your average American buying a cabot for 5000.00 + probably hasn't had the money to buy many others to compare it to. With that being said I hope to own a cabot, bul ,Nighthawk , korth ect. ect. ect. Before I die 😂

Not the target she actually shot in the beginning, those are 22 caliber looking holes and theres no way shes hitting the X with that epic flinch.

$4,000 1911 - slide doesn't lock open on first mag you shoot. I know all the sayings "Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it" blah blah blah. I say, a fool and his money are easily parted.

What is your life worth? It’s just a gun. Get insurance on it. I pay $860/yr for a 300k policy to cover my collection.

Turn-offs of Cabot Guns: - Large roll marks on slide - Sloppy trigger fit - Cost versus semi-custom and just as well made 1911’s I too am curious as to how the dimensional changes specified, altered the timing of the pistol...

Can’t afford one so all this means nothing.

You need to learn how to disassemble a 1911. Great vid otherwise.

Beautiful 1911s but not worth the price. Not even close. Custom 1911 makers’ heads have gotten way too big. They have very much entered that “our guns are back ordered 12 months so we can charge whatever we want for them” mindset. Show me a side by side 2000 round range test of a $5000 Cabot against any $1300-2000 1911 and prove the guns are actually worth 3x the money. Something tells me no custom gun maker would ever subject themselves to that.

I had to stop watching. First he removes the gun from the foam protective case and plops it down on a glass counter top. then he uses a bushing wrench to remove the bushing. YOU NEVER do that with a Hard Fit gun. NEVER. I figured he would next let the slide slam home on an empty chamber next and left cut it off my head explodes. Put the Cabot down son. Your not qualified to touch it! KnifeMaker
