I'm so very sorry that you are so unwell. I have end stage renal failure. I lost my right kidney in Dec 08 after getting an infection and it affected my other kidney. I've been a type 1 Diabetitc for 36 years (am 42) and due to my renal failure I developed renal bones disease, which led me to break my left femur 5 times. I then got a bone infection and had to have my entire left leg amputated 6 years ago. I understand so much what it's like to be constantly unwell and feel like life sucks big time! But the one thing that has pulled me through everything is my fiance! He has never left my side and everyday I am so thankful that I have him....and my little fur baby, in my life. They give so much love and happiness and pick me up when I'm not feeling too good. We are so blessed to have people that love us unconditionally. Love, positivity and happiness are the BEST medicine! I do hope that you feel better ASAP and know that you are loved and cared about. You are in my heart and thoughts. Peace and Love from Australia❤‍🩹🌻

I remember watching this show from the beginning and Kenzie announcing that they were gonna be parents for the first time and now the house is done they have another baby and they’re building another house

I never thought that watching a growing family build their own home and get it done amazes me!!! And the children are totally adorable!!! God Bless this family they are truly a talented pair!! I can’t wait to see what happens next!!!

Kudos to Spencer for his patience and perserverance. Hilarious scene watching daughter run from the wind blown tarps. Love watching you guys.

Seeing the kids in the side by side reminded me of when my kids were that young. I would let them play in my work truck (no keys were available) and they pretended to be driving. Best babysitter !

Love you guys. As far as container homes go, I always thought it would be better to frame the exterior(not the interior). Then apply electrical, AC, plumbing, insulation, a covering and maybe vinyl siding. In this way, you get more interior space, as much insulation as you like and an attractive exterior. Thanks for sharing.

But then you wouldn’t know it’s a container home! Although I get what you’re saying about the inside framing compromising the floor space. Although with two containers put together with the additions you wouldn’t notice the smaller space like you might with the single container.

@@IanForsythWestCoast Sq footage would be an issue for me too. If I were to build a container home, I'd want to go much larger. Like 8 of the 40ft units.

When i started watching you were living in a tiny cabin trailer . Containers were only just on there mounts. And you had one Dog. Now a completed house. 2 dogs and 2 kids. I hear you on the being tired of being inside! We live where it snows, we don't snow ski, so our getting outside in the winter time, consists of shoveling the driveway! And it's usually gloomy here during winter, so when we have a day with sunshine, we want to be outside, but then it's in the single digits for temperature! If there's one takeaway from this video, it's don't try to predict the future. You never know what's going to happen, and it's best to say we hope things are going to be different this time. On the work pants, wash them and then get an iron-on patch. In my experience, iron on patches last a long time. The original denim around the patch will rip before the patch rips. I recommend that you still get tarps. The way that water stands inside of that container you would be better off covering the windows and door opening in the event of rain. 😂 I should have watched the video a little further before I made the last comments. Apparently you decided you needed tarps anyway.

As to your intro and opening today, it's all in one's perception. I totally get what you mean, but all the work Spencer's been doing planning towards future projects, and all of the work that you've been doing editing, is staying busy but NOT getting that time split of being able to be outdoors being physically busy doing the project. Love you guys go easy on yourselves LOL!

I admire Spencer’s determination. He reminds me of my dad who had to go over and over on projects. Hang in there! You have had setbacks before! Oh one more thing! All the projects my dad done, got done and the house was sold in 3 days. But the best of all, he did it all himself! Great job guys!

Not sure if you saw an earlier comment I made but you might seriously consider a "Murphy Bed" or some system to hide bed or turn them into day beds to save space. LOVE the color of the cabin.

Hi your cabin reminds me of a mobile home. Mobile homes in Ramatuelles ( st Tropez France) are enlarged by adding a deck / porch. My sister in law added a summer kitchen at one end and added a very large table for outdoor dining and bbqs. Such an agréable space during the summer.

It is AMAZING how fast your babies are growing up.! It is fun watching you build you lives. Happy 4U. ❤

It always seems the work is never done when you own your own property!

I love your positive attitude and how you find something good in everyday. You both keep on moving forward. I respect your worth ethic. My husband and I live in north East Texas. We never run out of things to do! It is so rewarding and we would not change a thing.

TSP Is a painters cleaner & degreaser, usually the bubbles are contamination or the primer may have not set completely. But it's only paint and you'll get it done.

@@geripallija yeh I get it I lived in Florida and found out when you turn your a/c off for two weeks while your away the wall paper in the bath room just peals it self off the walls that's humidity@

Got to think the water levels are up in the tanks. That should relieve some of the boredom. Just got to love good old “Mother Nature”. Weather everywhere this year and the end to last year has been somewhat questionable. Not only on our side of the globe but also abroad. Stay safe, warm, and remember summer will bring better weather.

I wuv you too. Remedy for "cabin fever" - Play with your kids!! Maybe starting a new project in the Winter wasn't the best idea. However, the worst is over, on to framing. It would be horrible to find out after framing that only a midget could possibly live comfortably in the cabin. It's just a thought - no worry. LOL. Until next post, stay safe and be happy.

Put on some rain gear and take a walk in the woods. I love walking in the woods when there is thick fog, it's so quiet and relaxing and everything looks different..

Work the outside in the dry season. For now you can do a lot of things inside

It was a shame that the weather spoilt the paintwork, it is looking really good. It will be good to see the windows go in so you can then concentrate on the interior. your little ones are so cute and funny.

Your dogs are just great. Such cool expressions very mellow very sweet. Even though I have a purebred, I absolutely love mixed breeds. They’re just hearty. You have to admit that paint is very good. It has a lot of pigment to be able to bubble up like that. My late husband always used a company local to Fort Lauderdale called Acrylux and they batch their own pain so it has a lot of pigment and covered very well. Really good paint. We had a couple of problems with leaking around the window and this is a townhouse with two homes, separated by a firewall, which so many townhouses do not have so it makes these very very safe. But that was leaking right down the firewall and our paint did bubble and there was not much you can do about it because we had a custom paint job done so we just live with that little bubble and by the window it was really bad but it’s covered by draperies so I really understand what you guys are going through. As always a great job.

Third time lucky with that painting. Totally understand your frustration, but it will be worth all the hard work in the end. Going forward, why not try documenting your journey in a book with helpful hints of what to do/what not to do when building with containers? Could help you fill in time when the storms hit and you’re cabin bound. Cheers from Aussie Anne 🇦🇺

Spencer and McKinzie, Wow, has time passed. I saw a close up of Bear and his muzzle is...............white :-( When you first started a few years ago before the kids and io, it was just you two and Bear. He is a handsome dog to go along with the two of you. Now you have a family and boy have the kids grown! The little Tykes will not be little much longer. What a lovely family. Spence and Kenzy. You have done such an outstanding job on your first house and now with the cabin, we all are glued to your chanel to watch the progress with the build. I just can't believe that it has been this long. With your chanel, you make tuning in an enjoyable adventure every time. The cannon ball run had bloopers at the end of the movie that was HILARIOUS! I appreciate the bloopers you two add at the end of your videos. They too are so HILARIOUS! I've missed them. Glad to see you put them back in. Thanks! It is great when a plan comes together! Its torturous on the "ego" when one must re-repeat steps. Unfortunately, learning the harder way (not by choice) does build a deeper understanding with more productively stronger skills. When weather interferes with outdoor progress, forcing one to be inside, is also another time to learn to be productive while indoors, which for active people is most challanging. I hope you two will also find a way to be productive while inside. I am enjoying what you two are doing on the property. (just a suggestion) I'm hoping that you can also strengthen up your barn for a more functional shop when weather interferes. Going to a night school for building construction and cabinet making in the past, has given me lots of ideas for ideal uses that barn can be. I'm sure you two can come up with many, many productive uses also.
