Barbarian the Ultimate Warrior looks like the great grandfather of Mortal Kombat and Samurai Shodown/Spirits in which it is a bloody fighting game. It predates Mortal Kombat by featuring the 1st and only fatality it has which is the decapitation with the sword and a bikini clad babe similar to the bikini clad female ninjas in some of the Mortal Kombat games (though MK11 ditched the bikinis in favor of full catsuits). However the game does unintentionally feel like a predecessor to SNK's Samurai Shodown/Spirits by which both games are set in the past, both feature fantasy elements, both are weapon based fighters, and both of them feature fatalities by using the swords to hack the opponents. While neither game is inspired off of Barbarian the Ultimate Warrior, the 2 legendary 90's fighting games do share some key elements from this hidden 80's gem. ⚔💀🐍

This looks like a fub game. I have to try it someday. I remember when the headchopping in this game was something HUUUUGE. Man we now have gone far away from this point.

I wish someone would make a remake of this.a more slowpaced fighting game
