Hey man I really wants to asks you, I have 2001 c5z and find out after 2 to 3 weeks after purchasing the car miles 1800 miles after oil change I got low oil Level finds out later the oil is lower then normal 1.5L any idea what is the problem? The car have now 66k miles

I put one of these in my corvette using your install video as a guide about 4 months ago. 1000% better than the original radio. Thank you for posting it! Also for anyone else looking to do this, that aux remote to control the volume is necessary if you don't want to get into a car accident.

I have this radio and volume controler ,I find the volume controler goes through battery’s rather quickly, Do you find that to be true. I have the radio and volume controller by watching your content Keep up the good work and happy Thanksgiving

Do you think it would be possible to mount the radio upside down and then root it to flip the screen? It looks like it would even out the bars at the bottom. Also as far as the annoying on screen volume control, couldn't you just get a volume slider widget from the app store that is bigger/easier to use?

Did you add any external USB ports from the Joying? Buying everything to make this conversion and would like to add two USB ports. Thanks!

Any reason the joying 8" single din wouldn't work so screen doesn't get cutoff? Opening I think is 8.1 but that seems closer.

Hey thanks to you I installed samd unit. On my c5. I think mine came out a bit better 😉, I also use a launcher which makes it look factory..(AGAMA LAUNCHER) .. You have an easy way to root. I found a way but I need a laptop to do it... I'm going to post a video of my unit... Could not be happier.

Is yours rooted? How do you do that?

I hate the car lync on mine because it only covers half the screen. Then you have to go through settings while driving to turn up or down the volume.

Hi. Have you managed to change the startup volume setting? My unit is default at 18 and the button does nothing when i try to change it in the menu. It is driving me crazy.

I did! Have it set to 5 and it's perfect. I am not at home at the moment, but I believe it's under settings/sound/ start up level..? I think 🤔 I'll double check when I get home

@@VetOnVettes Thanks. No worries. I just figured it out. It was my fault for not paying attention. Above the default volume setting there was an option to activate the default volume setting button. I don't why Joying will do that but anyway i changed it. Thanks!

I'm installing a pioneer single din head unit in my c5 and there is one plug that has nowhere to plug in. I'm thinking it must have something to do with On-Star. What else is happening is I can't get the radio to power on.

Where in VA are you located? Hope to see you at some events this year in Northern VA if you're in the area.

Yeah but how's the sound quality on a $350 head unit? Probably has built in amp too. Can't be that great.

I bought a Joying 8.8 this wiring and all the other things I been reading about this head unit are so confusing . NO customer service , I think there is a language barrier. Can you make light of this thing . The price was right that's why I bought it. All these cables and other stuff with no Idea what its for . I have a 2000 Vette with a factory head unit this unit looked cool for less than $400. Big screen etc. I wanted bluetooth , back up camara . Can you help me please . You seem to have this figured out . Please tell me what you did with the Orange/black wire for starters. What is the black cable that accepts a chip for ? There are two antenna looking things that came with it , no idea what that is for ? Be nice to be able to talk to you abut this. OOh the head unit is sitting in the dash did you support it in any way? Thanks for you help.

I don't want to be rude but I watched that video a bunch of times. Can you tell me where you connected the Orange and Black wire too. Can you also tell me is the only thing holding the head unit the video screen or did you support it some how. Those 4 plastic clips cant hold that much . What is that cable that you can put a chip in really for? What does Rooting mean?? Thanks for your time. I appreciate it.

Is it possible to install Spotify on this headunit?

The touch screens look great when they're on, but very boring when they're off.

So Ive been reading about this unit a lot. Do you need to root it to be able to see the whole screen?

To shrink the screen to fit without fabricating the bezel.. yes you need to root it.

@@VetOnVettes A lot of older units that were video capable had a wire (easily bypassed) that needed to be hooked up to your parking brake to enable video. Of course this was the 90's before "infotainment" became a thing.

What do I all need for that joying 1.5 to fit my c5 ? And is it only the joying 1.5? I can't seem to find the 1 or 1.5 anymore

The Joying 8.8 is a huge piece of junk. I returned two of those units for failure to function properly. Huge waste of money.

@@VetOnVettes haha glad it did. They have a full screen double din apple car play for like 50$ cheaper, gotta buy a new center piece tho so it basically cost the same
