Nice job. When I did mine I made a tab that bolted in under the tailgate hinge on the drivers side welded to my crossmember and make it removeable. And I used # 8 thread certs to mount my gas door using counter sunk allen head bolts in case I need to remove it too.

What tank do you use for the tailight filler? Im looking at the Boyd but not sure the side filler will be correct? Can you suggest the correct tank to use? Thank u buddy!!

Pretty straight forward install. Do you have any example of fuel filler hose routing? That seems to be more complicated.

Sorry I don't. Majority of people get creative depending on their skill set. You can do a Stainless tube with couplers on either end or a 1.5" flex fuel line. To connect the taillight to whichever tank you have.

How would you hook up the tank vert with this filler? this is the route i want to go, and this is one of the questions i have not been able to answer.

The tanks we suggest to use have a vent on the tank. You can add a rollover check valve if you wish. If your tank doesn't have provisions for that you could get creative with the fill hose and add a vent.

That looks great on a Fleetside, do you have a recommended filler location for a Step Side? I really do not like the filler in the bed.

@@mikechristy5140 from what it looks like you just use a modern fuel door hinge and screw/weld it to the back of the side marker light, run the wires along the hinge, and cut out space behind the light for the filler neck and cap to fit

Not that we're aware of. We've seen 1 version with our filler and the 1 piece taillight. Was a bit of extra Fab work.

1.5" is the diameter of the fuel filler neck. Not sure which tank you're using but gives you an idea.

With some fab work, this one may work on a 60-66, on the show TRUCKS they used a capless filler from a ford and made the filler on the side marker light on the 67-72 they were building, with some trial and error you could make it work on 60-66 taillight, that’s the plan on my 64.

This looks awesome on my truck, but when you are doing it on an original bed mounted on the truck, it isn't as easy as he is showing.

Blazer Tanks are popular. Any tear side fill tank would work as well.

The only problem I see with this set up is you have to use LED not regular bubs Am I my correct 🤔

Don't believe so, you need to plumb the filler and slide the assembly up through where the crossmember is.
