Hey, I saw on the computer, a TV news coverage that was along the old C&S main line. The TV station must have been in Denver and they were covering this old town? South Platte City and the last building there, that the water department of Denver? was wanting to tear down. The local residence were trying to stop it from happening, but this sounds like a long drawn out process. Could you do one of your famous drives along this stretch of the C&S and show us how it has changed from the good old days to now. Thanks.

I could be wrong but I think there were some moves to protect/save the old South Platte hotel since that time. Not entirely sure, but I remember reading a bit on it at some point. Unfortunately, I haven't driven that particular part of the Platte Canyon route, but recently someone else did and sent me their footage. I hope to make a video from their footage sometime. It all depends on time :). They did drive past the South Platte hotel and it shows up in the video.
