I finally got through the pain, now 30 years has gone, but I still often lean on music. Vivaldi to KD Lang, Leonard Cohen and many in between were my crutches. I'm so sorry your's will last and last. The synergy between her voice, the music sound/voice, beats and the video is just surreal. It’s strangely unreal. Subconsciously you are almost lost in this song teleporting into her world. This is a real joke that is almost never made. I only met her because of one of my favorite singers and the truth is that it shocked me, this song has become one of my favorites and although I had hardly seen it, I must admit that she was extremely important for the music industry. In addition to being talented, she was and always will be unique, a privileged, powerful but above all interpretive voice, something that is no longer the case in so many. There are few singers who really sing and Celine is one of them, super, super great. Who else listens to it in 2024?

Well, there is mystery in Rush's performance too, but it is a little sadder, and more a tribute to love and union. Dion's performance and David Foster's production really brings out the meeting of fear, surrender, and destiny.

No fucking way-the Holy Trinity of female singers is: 1. Barbra Streisand 2. Celine Dion 3. Karen Carpenter Whitney Houston would be 4th, but although her voice is spectacular, to me she doesn’t have that once-in-a-lifetime, out of this world voice like the three ladies I mentioned. Mariah Carey is very talented, but her voice doesn’t have that crystal clear tonality that the others do. She has a very very slight rasp to her voice and it’s more breathy. Just my opinion of course.

K Conrad actually yes! You’re right about Mariah not having that “Crystal clear tonality” In my opinion those three are my vocal trinities! I Mariah did have A LOT more potential throughout her career but she chose her own music rhythm.
