C&C Hell March Cover
I'm not sure how many gaming fans watch my videos, but as a fan of the original C&C games from waaaay back when, and because I've wanted to do a full proper cover of this one for a while, when I heard just a few days before that the remasters were arriving so soon It seemed a decent time to do it! So I've been tirelessly working on this one for 5-6 days straight!
Both guitar tracks were recorded while filming the video, except for the bass track because for some reason(cheap bass) I get a LOT of interference being in such a small room so I had to record the audio standing in a specific spot in my doorway to keep things quiet... -___- Other than that everything you're seeing is the result of 3 separate video tracks pieced together, with the exception of me having to record a second layer of open palm mutes on 2 of the backing rhythm sections because I had already mixed in both parts of the rhythm and the sliding harmonies in the same video takes when they should have been separate!
The drum track was made using the Perfect Drums plugin.

haha hell yeah! I had Red Alert and the original C&C on PC back in the day, but I remember playing Retaliation on ps1, that was damn fun too!
Epic as always Dom! Made me all nostalgic.

Things like this make me wish I could play bass and guitar simultaneously - I guess that's what an octave pedal is for but it's not the same

Get it bro
I know this is a year old vid, but every cover and tab on the internet shows the main riff differently and I swear they all sound correct with the actual game track. Lol! The consensus seems to be drop D standard. But, I've seen (frets low E) 1 and 4....3 and 5...2 and 5....1 and 3...etc. It's killing me that I can't find what's right and I've been playing over 20 years. Lol!

The best song that exists !!!!!
@DomicidalCovers

It's definitely one of the best from my childhood that's for sure!
This song to me always sounds like the title track from Psalm 69 by Ministry, Undertow by Tool, and Black Sabbath combined all together. The main guitar riff in this song sounds like the guitar riff in Psalm 69 by Ministry, the secondary riffs at 1:21 and 1:37 remind me of the guitar in Undertow by Tool, and the bass riff at 3:01 is very Sabbathesque. Of course, it wasn't a surprise to me to see on wikipedia saying that the album Psalm 69 by Ministry was an influence on the creator of this song and the soundtrack for the game
@DomicidalCovers

haha that's crazy! I'm familiar with most of Tool's popular songs, and obviously all of Sabbath, but I haven't really checked out any Ministry, I'll have to give that a whirl sometime though, I never knew it was officially an influence.
Great work 👏🏼👏🏼

@@rykemendiola1144 How weird you mention it.. I was literally just talking to Wes about Dual Rectifiers not long after I replied to your first comment! haha. There are a few different profiles from the Dual and Triple Rectifiers on the Kemper so I may demo them at some point. I'm not sure about the Alluvial or Faceless covers though as I don't really know much, and there's no way I can play like Wes, I'm no where near his level haha.
Hell yeah dude!!!
This is awesome! Do you happen to have the drum & bass only tracks available anywhere? I've been searching high and low to find something without the guitars but without success.
