Utah running back Carl Monroe rushed for 147 yards and two scores while becoming the all-time single season rushing leader in Utah history. It wasn't enough as Steve Young passed for 254 yards in a 17-12 BYU victory. It clinched the 7th straight WAC title for the Cougars.
