The impressive thing are that those shots are pure - perfect swishes. This type of skillset is usually not seen in a college player.

Jimmer is the REAL deal and will be an unstoppable force in the NBA. Dude is a Beast. Not only a Great shooter but a Relentless SCORER. He has the complete package physically. Blows by the pros the same way he blew by ALL of his college opponents. NO ONE CAN GUARD HIM. He is simply too quick and explosive. He also has a Jordan-like toughness to him. He is a killer. ROY and first team all NBA. Deal with it.

This was such a great performance by Fredette. BYU has become such a great program under Dave Rose and they do not get the recognition and credit that they deserve because they don't play on ESPN. I just hope they don't draw Texas A&M in the NCAA Tournament this year, that is just a bad matchup for them. Cougars are a fun team to watch, best of luck to them.

Alex English was drafted in the second round. Tony Parker was drafted number 28 in the first round. Nash and Stockton were both drafted 16th I believe. It's rare that you have someone with potential but doubts that late in the first round. That's what makes it a good gamble. Just like how Darko Milicic was the antithesis of a good gamble.

Arizona is 16-4, #2 in the Pac-10, on the edge of the top-25. San Diego State is 20-1, #4 in the nation. Jimmer scored 92 points combined against the two of them and BYU won the games by a combined 35 points. What evidence is there that he can't handle quality competition? Everyone can have a bad game here and there, but he's had his best games against the best teams he's faced.

I don't know why people compare him to JJ Redick. This is coming from someone who absolutely loved Redick and only missed a handful of his games. What makes Fredette different is he has a greater ability to create his own shot. JJ needed someone to help him get a shot. That's why they always lost in the Tourney: make his team try and beat you. Fredette can create his own shot whenever he wants without his teammates...and it pains me to say that.

FYI: Jimmer is not only outplaying Brooks and Thomas ..Jimmer is outplaying every point guard in the NBA . Fredette is Number 1 in scoring in the NBA for point guards(points per 48 minutes) and his Player Effeciency Rating puts him 5th in the NBA for PG's behind CP3, Westbrook and T Parker..in front of Rondo, k Irving and
Kemba Walker..These are serious numbers and serious company Fredette has
put himself in not to mention that Fredette is # 1 in the NBA in free throw shooting.

@utahgs: Wait, Kirk Hinrich was a 3rd-team all-american who has now started in the NBA for 7 seasons, racking up over 7,000 career points and 3,000 career assists in his first 6 seasons. For a 3rd-team all-american, he turned out just fine in the pros. To give you a clue, the four other 3rd-team all-Americans along with Hinrich were Reece Gains, Brian Cook, Keith Bogans, and Ron Slay. You still think Hinrich didn't turn out well?

@utahgs: Sure...maybe you should listen to South Florida coach Stan Heath: "I asked my staff, after we played Kemba [on Dec. 31], which player was harder to guard," Heath said. "We all thought it was close, but we said Fredette, just because his shooting range is a little more extended. And while Kemba is quicker and more explosive, Fredette's changes-of-speed, plus his hops and step-back moves, make him better. And when he elevates to shoot, he really gets up in the air, more than Kemba."

It about heart and work put into the game. Why limit him to being a white basketball player. He plays basketball and he is good, it doesn't matter how much melanin he has in his skin

He has to work on squaring up and staying on balance when he's shooting off the dribble if he wants to be a consistent shooter.Right here, he's in the zone, so it really doesn't matter how you shoot once you become unconscious like that.Problem is, you don't get into those type of zones all that often. The shot at 1:48 shows he has the potential to stop on a dime & square up.Reminds me of Steve Nash in college, but with less court vision & ball handling skills. His jumper could be special like Nash
