I know...He also played with New Orleans. He didn't really get much playing time. I just liked him...maybe he's not quite NBA material, but he's really close...Played well in the summer league also. I tend to think he's stereotyped and a bit blackballed because he's really religious. BYU and all. Just me probably.

If you actually followed his NBA career you'd know he never got any opportunities. Add up his NBA playing time in total and it's practically nothing. To say he got "so many opportunities" is misinformed but I can see how just seeing he's been on a bunch of teams would make it seem that way. The most minutes he played was in his rookie season at 18 per game. He was on teams sure but never got playing time even if he played well one game he'd get DNP the next, etc. Got better each season on the Kings, even was shooting 50% from deep but each year got less playing time. Scored 17 his one game on the Bulls where he got decent minutes then Thibs never gave him time again.

But he's a 6'1" shooting guard. Most shooting guards in the NBA can shoot right over him and can easily contest his shots with superior length and verticals. He gets compared to Steph a lot but Steph has better court vision, handles, a quicker release, a better attitude (won't accept being a role player), and is two inches taller.

Absolutely!!!! Look, if people say he can't play "D" then name me 10 players in the league who do play "D." Nobody is going to convince me that Jimmer has no ability whatsoever to add serious value to a team in the NBA. He's a score first guard and a damn good one at that. He's with out a doubt talented enough to become a more rounded player. If he never gets another shot in the league by any team out of the 30, it's going to be a sad loss to all the fans of the NBA. I'm fully aware Nick Young is a sg/sf, I'm also aware he gets paid over 4 million a year by the Lakers. His career winning percentage as a player is 32.7%! That stat alone speaks volumes. He's been a loser on every single team he's played on. (4 NBA teams) He's just one example of the many players in the league who aren't even worthy enough to compare to the potential, B-Ball IQ, work ethic and talent Jimmer has. Yet he's the Tim Tebow of the NBA. I can't make sense out of something that is absent of sense. RESPECT JIMMER

Every time I see a Jimmer video I see a guy who can play in the NBA Period, no doubt he can. I think there is something wrong with the NBA in general, the excuse that he can't defend? I just watched about 10 Chris Paul videos and some games and it amazes me how few guards can play defense. Stephen Curry can't defend for shit, same as Parker and even guys like Nash aren't exactly stellar defenders. But what they lose on defense they make up on the other end, that's just how it is for smaller guys. Same goes for slower big men every time a smart faster smaller guard gets one guarding him. When is the last time you saw some of the big guys guard a Lowry, not. It's part of the game, smaller men can't guard bigger men and the same visa versa.

Khe cause he scored 33 points against a preseason defense. 37.6 points in the CBA means nothing. His teammate Yabusele, a Celtics dratee, averaged nearly 21 and 10 in the CBA in his first year. He averaged roughly the same numbers in the D League and averaged less when he came to the NBA. CBA is nowhere near the NBA bro. It's comparable to D League but dropping 37 points with no D on lackluster competition at 40mpg isn't an attractive statline. Jimmer dug his own grave his early years in the NBA.

Here's what Curry is: Playmaker, best shooter of all time, great screener for his size, great rebounder for a PG, one of the best at driving to the hoop and making those difficult layups, and he literally makes his team shoot better by a significant margin because of the spacing he brings and how many defenders he draws attention to.

I know Jimmer's defense isn't that great, but at least he tries. Harden has the worse defense I've seen, he barely tries at times, he just stands there looking around. So the defensive liability talk is b.s. The guy can score on NBA players, that's clear, so unless there are attitude issues, it doesn't make sense that he isn't on an NBA roster.

No smaller man Jimmer's size is good at defending bigger men. Same goes for guys guarding Jimmer, they can't stop him. Ever see Stephan play defense or Chris Paul, too small, but the big men can't stop these smaller guys neither.

***** He's not the worst defender ever, and I do think he can be on the bench for a lot of NBA teams. The only problems are that he can be a huge distraction, like Tim Tebow because of his cult following. The second issue is the fact that most end of the bench NBA guys are projects with great athleticism but little basketball skills, guys with upsides the teams believe can be good down the line. Freddete, unfortunately for him, has maxed out his potential. He is today--heck, he was in college--what he was ever going to become.

GerMart Delly is a MUCH, MUCH better NBA PLAYER than Freddette. First, he is 6-5, while Freddette is 6-1. Delly can guard both wing positions, even can be credible when switched on the 3. He also had the good fortune of playing with Lebron.

  • @emmanuelenyinwa1443

Fredette is NOWHERE NEAR as good an NBA player as Raymond Felton. FredeTte is strictly a 2 guard, as he has never shown the ability to run an offense. Fredette is a poor version of Steph Curry, except he does not have Curry's work ethic and he is not as big. He is exactly like Seth Curry, except Seth can play some point guard, too. You can also compare him to an Austin Rivers, except Rivers is bigger and can defend bigger players.

Jimmer had a chance, but in the NBA he isn't a good pg. He is actually to slow to be a guard in the NBA and his shooting is good but he it isn't elite like Korver or Steph so lack of speed and handle at the pg spot makes him a bench player. He is a good back up on most teams but I think he likes being a star player in the CBA
