Byrna fanny packs. Where go buy them?

I never heard of this product until my sister was robbed the other night while walking home from work. They shined a laser pointer on her to probably try to scare her. A woman pulled over seeing the two men assault her and they then ran off. They didn’t get what they wanted from her. It was captured on a home cam outside and they called the police for her. She got a couple scuffs from going to the ground and a torn bag but she is safe.

Thanks for the video. You got my attention when you said that adding the booster won't increase the power of the shot. I am waiting for my orange sd to get shipped and was thinking of getting the booster attachment but only because of the power I thought I would be gaining. Now I will wait and see if the standard sd has enough stopping power.

Yeah I don’t think that’s how it works. But if you do a little research online you’ll find ways that you can get a little extra umph out of them. Just voids warranties. I have never gotten into that so I don’t know what models work or how to do it.

A great video so far, but why are you using the short end of the allen key wrench as a handle instead of the longer length? You'll get better control using the wrench opposite the way you're doing now, including more torque. You have the room to spin the wrench.

Yes, you’re correct… I only did so to make it easier and a bit more visible to see what I was doing in the video. Off screen I would often loosen the cap, reverse the scene and then shoot the scene. Sometimes in content creation you try stuff and it ends up pointless or unnecessary, but sometimes you find them to be very necessary to display on screen.

It really doesn’t turn it into an XL. The adapter only extends the capacity for CO2 cartridge. The XL has a longer barrel which increase muzzle velocity. Byrna has tuned the XL to compensate for the xtra length in barrel size so that it produces higher fps thus a little more energy/joules from an XL vs. an SD/HD. Thus although the adapter may give the appearance of an SD XL, it’s missing the benefits of a true SD XL. I’m not a reseller for Byrna, I’m just a transport asset protection officer that uses the Byrna as a less lethal option on my duty belt.

@@kendallevans4079 Again Kendall, I wasn’t referring to what is being stated in the video. I’m referring specifically to the description of the video. I wouldn’t even be concerned about the issue except that there is a lot of misconception about the Byrna no matter the model used. I’m a huge advocate for less lethal weapons and I have taken a lot of flak for choosing to use less lethal rather than lethal weapons. Perhaps I should stop caring about what others think. Nevertheless, my point was only to clarify that the extension doesn’t turn an SD model into a SD XL as stated in the description.

Do you know if you can increase your power, fps, by adjusting the screw in the back? ty

Yes you can. There's a guy on KZread who adjusted it clockwise and he measured the fps afterwards and there was a significant boost in velocity.

You can but it voids warranty and only adds another 10fps though.

You can continue to use them until they’re empty. If you take it out of the launcher it will lose all its compressed cO2. It’s recommended to put a fresh cartridge (won’t puncture until the first trigger pull occurs) in the launcher before you carry it.

No, 5 rounds per magazine, unless you buy the just released new 7 rounds magazine

No, they use the same magazines. I’m continued they’re just an SD with the Boost installed on them.

Are any of the rounds reusable for practice situations?

Messed up math at 2:45. You say 8g fires 30 rounds and 12g increases it by 50% to 90?? That's a 300% increase. A 50% increase from 30 would be 45 (30+15). That sounds about right since 8g increased by 50% (4g) would be 12g.

There are some law-enforcement agencies using these things, I think they’re a great option for many circumstances. And if you’re going to carry nonlethal, no matter what this is definitely something to look at as an option.

SO.. the bIg question. WHICH YOU haven't answered yet, but brought up more than once.. WHY NOT do a test for us?? AND THATis on HOW Long after puncturing the CO2 will it still be usable? I think for a VERY LONG TIME.. as I think that trigger works the way it does cuz it puts a rubber piece into it so it can't leak?? SO why not punture it and take a shot or two? and put it away for a month or 2 or 3? and see if it still fires?? and how long will it last? 6 months? a year?? LETS SEE the results of that TEST !!!!

I spoke with Byrna customer service after buying my SD XL and they said. If you puncture a CO 2 cartridge, it's best to use it all up or just take it out, because the pressure can damage seals and cause them to leak, and it will leak out anyway within about 24 hours... so I always use the whole cylinder every time I start one. They designed the trigger to puncture the cartridge with 1st pull so that way. You can store a full cartridge in the launcher indefinitely.

Ltl bravo 150 is such a better launcher smaller projectile and hits much. Harder 11joukes or 7.5 depending on the byrna compared to 18-20 joules with .50 cal rounds lnao byrna is a joke
