Great and very in-depth review much appreciate it. I am looking at this or the Beelink GT King Pro but I like this because you can add an internal sata drive. Troypoint put this on there list even though it runs stock Android. I have prime video but I watch everything through Kodi and I use Real-debrid so to me I'm not worried about Netflix, Hulu and any other app not running 4k but if there is 4k available I will watch it. I'm not to sure about how to setup the server part.. Is the iptv service free and does it have US channels? Please do another review explaining more about the server.

Beautiful question, GT king pro is a good box but, this box is designed for LiveTV app, with support.

I wish you could have talked about the PVR RECORD feature. As one who bases my possible purchase on the details of this feature, I am really disappointed you didn't cover as much of this as possible. Most people really value the abiltiy to record shows.

There are new features buzztv is bringing out, we have done 4 videos and none will be relevant. So hang in there for good brand new video. I have been bashed and told I am good for nothing by bunch of people purchased this box. I have no attention to help them, because just like you I am a user too.

Hello, my 2015 Nvidia Shield is on it's way out. Trying to decide between xrs4900 & 2019 Nvidia Shield Pro. My concerns are many complaints about no response from tech support and Amazon Prime video only being sd format. Can you download load Amazon Prime from Google play store?

for rental apps like Hulu, Netflix, HDBO+, i would get FireTV Boxes, for LiveTV and recording Buzztv is the best.

There is already a custom ROM for this device called Slimbox. Would love to see a review with this software. The ROM installs ATV on the device.

I have the xr4500 and I have 1.0 gigabyte of internet speed directly to XR4500 Buzztv and it won't pick up much of the speed when I hook up my ipvanish. So what's the problem?

you just told me the issue, 1GB LAN Line should show up as max 840Mbit ipvanish speeds are 100Mbit each connection. so you will not go over 100Mbit unless you find a server that they advertise as 1Gb then you will see maybe 300 Max cause that Server you are connected to is shared with you can't really say how many people are connected to that server.

How does recording go on this box. As some of the other buzz tv boxes and sticks had issues.

you can add as many servers you want, just like tivimate you can only view one server at the time. I am very confused on why you are comparing this with Tivimate app. its like saying Samsung is good as LG. they do same job but there own way.

@@xctechs what sets tivimate apart from other players it's it's previously watched channels function for quick navigation,, if this player does not have that function it would be a downgrade of performance.

If your livetv provides bringbyou catchup then you will see it.

What HD drive would you recommend. Would you use a 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM?

always stick with 7200 RPM, and SATA or SSD no difference once you hookup with this box.

I just find another issue, you can not see like other devices Netflix, there is no chance to sort the movie or serie to whatch, what do I need to do for this? So many bla, bla about this device is the top of top, but still some issues that you can not find at any regular device, when I say regular is the most cheap device that you can play without any problem, Netflix and others applications like in this device.

Netflix is ported from a tablet, so it means it is touch screen, and sort is part of Netflix app and that is something you ask or being as an idea with Netflix company. If you are talking about VOD that is your LiveTV provider. You need to bring it up them that need to being more content. Once you are on movies at the bottom given u the color buttons and what it can do one is sort.

Do you think a 2.5 ssd will make 4900 faster, like it does on computers?

The Remote that comes with XRS4900 is Bluetooth and IR, if you unpair your remote from the box it will work as IR, and Harmony remotes can work.

@@juliomeneses8456 ok press and hold the green power button for 3 seconds you will see a little 3 option menu on the right hand side. Select shutoff, that will turn off your box. Since the power is connect at back of the box thenlogo in the front will be red to tell you power line is connected. Now to turn the box back on point the remote to the box and press green power once the box will boot backup with animation. That is why you see the red light.

Nice box. I don't think a lot of people will be running to buy it though. Just too much of everything for the average guy!IMO

Buffering and not freezing really depends on how good is your internet and wifi first and rest all boxes doing the same thing.

@@xctechs thank you for your response. I just bought the superbox s3 pro and have it connected thru LAN and speeds are over 300 kbps but still get freezing channels, most of the time I just have to channel up or down and go back to the original channel for it to work

you can see the settings on the top, if not then keep moving towards the right and you will see that the icons changed to settings then select Buzz utilities and select proper launcher.

As per info you can record 2, but that is if livetv provider allows you two or you have two different services like Mac and M3u or XC API.

I am not sure what you trying to do, but Nvidia Shield Pro is not the something as buzztv, its total different unit. If you can't figure out Buzztv box which is made for PVR and LiveTV. Nvidia Shield is made for lite gaming only.

I have xrs 4500 and Nvidia shield 2017 I went back to using shield because of Disney Channel not playing, it plays everything great, but that live TV on buzz, is great too. Just trying to c what is the best box that checks all the boxes.

There's no comparison to Shield. This box is for live tv streaming, not certified app's like Netflix, Prime, Disney ... low quality picture

Thanks I also have a 2TB ,and 12Tb could I use 4 and 12 through the 2 USB 3.0 ports both as external and do advise to use the 2 as internal not meaning to be a bother thanks

@@michaelthompson9652 yes you can remember that we have tested a 3Tbyte and the system could not read the HD through SATA connection nor, through USB 3.0 or USB 2.0. when We made it 2Tbyte it quickly detected and read.

4500 series are all Quade Core chips 4900 is Hexa Core chip so it will be faster.

You need to find someone so you could subscribe to a server, then they will provide you a URL. except that there is no url to use, do not use free ones they are nothing but trouble.

Alright thank you for your input, and i have covered that portion (( 20:48 Organize Categories )) I have to mention, you can never delete the stuff you do not like, but you can try this method or you can talk to your guy whom you subscribe the channels from and tell them which categories you do not want to see and he can fix it on his side.
