I just recieved my first metal detector. XP ORX. What can i say, i love it. So simple, straight out of the box and hitting targets. Love the product and these go-to KZread videos are a fantastic way to understand what it can do and how to get the most out of it. Great job.😀👍

This detectors design alone makes it a must have. Trust me people, if you use it you will not stop using it.

Well done Gary. I went in with an XP DEUS, couple months ago, selling my Equinox 800. The DEUS system is very easy as well. Your videos as well as others on this side of the pond made it understandable and practical. BYW, found me first silver Washington quarter the other day. 1935. Used the hot program to find it. Went over that small area many times with the Equinox. DEus squeaked through the iron and found that quarter. Many thanks for your in-depth videos, knowledge and tips.

Enjoyed the presentation of the Orx. I’ve got 2 of them, along with all coils except 11x13 x35. Plus 3 Mi pp (2 Mi6 and 1 Mi4) And don’t forget the new backpack and pouch. All of it is outstanding

The only reason I bought the orx is because of previous videos I saw here, mine is like new but slightly used so I thought I would give it a go with out a manual as this unit is with out. Thanks for the introduction and showing, this will be quite helpful.

Hi Gary! I have the ORX with elliptical plate for 1 year now. I managed to get some "communication" with the Factory settings. Specifically between 1 (GOLD), and 3 (COIN FAST). Before I start prospecting, I modify them in such a way that, by combining them, I can know with 80% accuracy if I should dig, or shouldn't dig the targets. My problem is that to go from 1 to 3 I have to press the "change configuration" button 2 times, and then to go back to 1, I have to do it 4 times, and so on. Then it occurred to me to record 1 in 5, and 3 in 6, in order to have them together, but again, to return from 6 to 5, I have to go all the way around by pressing the configuration change button 5 times, that is; the same amount as above. As there is no back button, and in this situation, I would like to know if there is any way to Delete configuration 5, and 6? That way I can "turn around" a little faster, and with less click. Lastly, would there be any chance that a rollback option for configuration changes will be added in a future update? Thank you.

amazing break down of this detector i loved the part where u took out the user manual yea alot of people get new detectors and never read them lol wow this video covers all the info you are a orx master this is the detector i wish i had its amazing and all the different coils and accessories lots of gear good vid

I know I want an XP detector, but I'm old, and on a fixed, and moderate income and the price of the Deus is a bit high (for me). I'm trying to decide whether I should go with the Deus and just the WS4 display, and add the Deus remote control when/if I can, or just go with the ORX. P.S. Gary is the best salesman I've ever encountered, and he doesn't seem to be selling a thing. He just comes across as your best friend explaining something to you as honestly and concisely as he can. XP has a good catch there! *lol* Thank you Gary.

I agree Gary on what you say about price rather than standard , i see that in high end machines at times. As for the Deus and ORX they are high standard and considering their tech i am surprised they aren't more expensive. Glad they aren't ! When the Deus came out in 2010 i thought it was the most high tech machine out there , in capability i think it is as good as most , maybe better than most. But its still the most high tech . Not all Detectors look like a Star Ship when folded up LOL , though there is a red imitation out there trying to look like one ! There is no doubt about the high standard of construction of the machines. For their anorexic weight they are tough . An arthritic Ant could swing one all day without trouble. And the new HF coils even though pricey have added a new dimension to the machines . It would be nice if there was a larger white HF elliptical coil of 12 x 10 inch , though to stop the front end weight put the coil lugs in the middle of the coil. The new Gold programs and the new set up that seems good for the wet salt make the machines far better than they were when i bought my first Deus in 2010 . You know i didn't find the Deus very easy back then . And even though i am still using Minelab's on the beaches , i have found that Minelab have slipped recently on the standard of their machines, build quality is a thing with them i feel. I wont knock their capability though target info on the latest models is a bit lacking. Not having manuals on their new machines is annoying and the new Vanquish though with basic capabilities of the Equinox and multi frequency has limits on software etc . That machine is more price than standard . Not sure i would have one , too limited for the price. Some say its a red Ace 250 etc . As for the Deus it was wasn't a bad machine in 2010 either , on a beach on a day in 2010 i found £44.55p in coinage and 2 Gold rings, i could have done that with the ORX easily . They were mostly in the between tides but there is still salt to be had and the beach i do is quiet Irony and trashy in many places at certain times. I can only think the ORX is at the same standard and capability and when this damned lock down ends i will be out with it . To everyone else who reads this , i dont work for XP or any other Detector company . I just speak plan and straight to the point . My machines are the Minelab's E.Trac and Equinox 800 and the XP's Deus and ORX . I doubt i will need to buy another machine for a long time , i think i have all i need . Apart from a K9 Mk1 which i saw on a video the other day . Digs its own holes i bet too !!

Does the Deus have the ability to connect to a smartphone with the Go Terrain app?

I love my Deus. I bought an Equinox 800 a really nice detector but the Deus XP is my favorite. So many customizable features. Just ordered a Mi 6 pinpointer.. Im excited to get it in a few days.

Instruction manual? When I need a replacement stem for my Deus, I am just going to purchase the ORX one, it is much cheaper! Speaking of "Go Terrain", we have been waiting a LONG time for the smart phone companion app to be released. Is there a target date? That XP Tablecloth is cool by the way!

If your looking for a metal detector dont waist your money on a deus , Get a equinox there deeper much cheaper , fully water proof, multi frequency , I've got both deus and equinox and the equinox is a far better detector.

They say that is runing on more frequencies at same time but maybe that is not possible my seller send them mesagge and asked how is equinox working on more frequencies when it has only one wind in coil they couldn answer....
