BuWizz 4.0

Ойын-сауық

A way to burn out your Lego motors using 2 buwizz in series.
Please do not try this at home, if you do, do so at your own risk, the circuit is more complex than it initially looks and you can damage your motors and/or buwizz, or even start a fire.
Use the link below to check out BuWizz and their new "buggy" motor!

Nice to make it work with the oldschool parts! It's still fine with a single L motor without much load on it, but I wouldn't test it with a loaded buggy motor, connectors will melt soon :)

@@RacingBrick hehe i will! But lipos are a different story.. most of them easily provide over 30 amps, while the buwizz is still capped at 5A (surge). I am not sure wether it will pop at 10a or 5a in series, should still be 5A. Do you?

22.5v is probably pushing the limit of the motors. I have had them pulling 20w and things heat up pretty fast. I suspect their rated for ~25w with an operating voltage from ~6-24v. So the average of 7.4v limited to ~1.5a would be well well within a margin of safety an longevity. Remember these are meant to be "toys" so liability and all. I would not recommend doing this if the motors are going to be under any serious load. If my assumptions are correct 2 packs like this could allow the motor to draw (22.5x1.5) over 33w which could damage the motor or worse a lithium fire.

Sure, December 6th. 2020. Once they arrive I'll probably make a trophy truck of some sort. Currently I have built a sort of dune buggy. Not since theres snow on the ground I put skis on the front. Priviously I had tracks on the back, but we're to slow for my liking. It doesnt steer to well due to the fact that theres no castor angle.

On my channel you might like my servo mod for lego racers? Also you wouldn't happen to know how many volts the lego racers buggy receiver can handle? I've tested it with lithium AA,s and got around 9.5v loaded.

I just saw your mod. Why did you do it? And it doesnt seem to be proportional, is it? I think it might also work by just hooking it up to the grey AUX port and use the paddles? Im not sure about the max voltage. But i heard people trying with 3 lion 4.2v baterries that burned them out. I wouldnt go too crazy if you dont have spare receivers.. once you go too high they are dead forever (unless you can replace/find damaged components)

@@marxpeklegotechnicdesign3 i did it for my trophy truck. The grey port will not work because the lego servo is a true 4 wire servo. Also most mocs you don't have room for a shaft to the steering rack. The steering is not proportional but it is extremely responsive. The throttle is proportional. I tested the voltage today it can only handle 11.5v basically 12v the energizer lithium run nicely at 10.5. I found out the max because I cooked the throttle as soon as I hooked up 15v. The trigger input still works thankfully. drive.google.com/folderview?id=1hJ5rJiwPIwIc4leDZXbOuG3jA6EolGsG

@@DBZLEGENDS good to know about that voltage and that the aux port wont work for servos. And i can see why you extended it, nice truck! By trigger input you mean the grey aux port? Be carefull with that one, it cannot power buggy motors, it burns out on high loads from what i hear.
