"But Do You Believe in God?" 🇲🇦 (
One fine day on a walk in the kingdom of Morocco, I found myself looking for the local moonshine. In Fez, the Jewish community created a spirit known as "Mahia", and me being me, I knew I had to go and try it. Little did I know, I'd have to go on an adventure walking through tubs of pidgin 💩 to get the mythical drink.
At least I got invited to a party after...but not without being asked life's most pressing question.

Truly a bucket list place I want to visit one day. You have inspired me to remote work more at different locations and I just got authorization to be able to go to some countries rather than be just US bound. First stop was Jamaica for two weeks. It was outstanding! Safe travels. Perhaps I'll catch you around out there one day. We will have some local beers on me.

Not walking into crack houses is a good resolution Sabbatical! Getting a tour of the "Pidgin Sheet" factory was amazing...Let's just hope that "Moonshine" you drank was not the run-off from all those tanning chemicals! But Seriously, isn't it amazing that a Proud Father is the same wherever you go in the world? That man lit up like a Christmas Tree when he started talking about working for his three daughters! I love your videos man! You travel the way that I’ve always wanted to. An idea of where you want to go, with no real plan. Going to experience their culture, rather then just going to all the tourist traps. I always laugh when people say they went to a country and stayed at a fancy hotel or an all inclusive. They did not see or experience the culture! They saw what was built to help them feel comfortable. So the whole reason for my comment is about a week after I watched this video, I actual saw another video about the tannery you ended up in. It is a 1000 years old and it’s the oldest tannery in the world! That’s really all I’ve got for ya. I usually don’t comment on videos, but I thought that might be a little fact you’d be interested in hearing. Love the videos and I can’t wait for the next one!

@@SabbaticalTommy Also a point of history (since you like history ^^). The reason Morroco did not have the same fate as Algeria during the French hegemony.. is due to one man in particular, General Lyautey. Proof that individuals can sometimes make more of a difference than groups. In any case, he had worked with tribal leaders in the past, and thought "buying their good will" was a better strategy than brute force. Same with architecture, a mix of both worlds. Eventually, as he grew old, he got replaced by a newer power-hungry French generation, and this is when "sh*t hit the fan" as Americans say. His biography is a good read 😉.
Dude your vlogs just keep getting better and better
