Bushcraft Survival Traps For Catching Fish and Small Game - TOP 5 Survival Traps with Greg Ovens

Ойын-сауық

We look back on some of Greg's most effective, innovative, and borderline craziest bushcraft traps he's come up with over the years. From Prairie Gophers to Lake Trout to Pacific Crabs, join Greg for one of his favorite pastimes: Setting Traps!
Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

I completely agree with the number one choice. That set line is awesome and adaptable. I have memorized that and built a couple smaller ones in my yard to get the concept settled in. Oh, and speaking of ideas from the 30 days, I also use your bow drill modification to help youngsters as well. They have a harder time with coordination and that extra weight helps them succeed before they get frustrated. Great series Greg keep em coming.

I you know what Ptarmigan eat, you can use a rat trap from the hardware store to catch them. Paint the business end of the wood floor (where the hammer strikes) with Dollar Store pancake syrup along with the bait pedal (that releases the hammer when touched) sprinkle cracked corn or other suitable bait onto the painted surfaces, scattering a little more cracked corn around it to increase visibility from the air, set the trap and check back every few hours....
