Fasting is something you should work up to and it helps if you are fat adapted, meaning you should cut way back on carbs and make sure you’re getting enough fat in your diet.

Yes I fasted and continue to. I usually don't eat breakfast until 10:00ish. Because of my driving schedule I have an 14-hour day and in that 14-hour day I'm allowed to drive 11 hours, so I start my breakfast with yogurt eggs or fruit and eggs, and possibly some carbs. And then I wait until dinner time, that's when I will have veggies fish and nuts or beans. In between I will have for snacks, almonds lots and lots of water and some kombucha. Last year I lost 22 lb in 3 months, I was at 222 and in 3 months I was down to 200, that is with exercise at the gym. Exercising three times a week for 1 hour did it for me. Just figure out your pace, figure out what works for you and you'll live a happy healthy life. This was a great video. Sending you all lots of hugs❤😻😻❤️

Add a quality electrolyte like LMNT and then plenty of water throughout the day.

Well done with the Fasting. it was good that you kept it going for the full week. I don't worry about food. I can go all day with just a little food. I have never eaten a Breakfast and although I am up early every day food is not on my mind, we all have different ways of coping so long as you are happy.

I've been doing 16/8 IF for the past 9 months (with eating window generally from 11am-7pm) and have not only lost more than 20 pounds, but also dramatically improved all my metabolic numbers including my total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL and glucose. I am almost 69 yo and my numbers are the lowest they have been in decades. I do not deprive myself of foods I enjoy, including having my coffee with skim milk even during my fasting window (known as a "dirty fast"); but the biggest game-changer for me was not eating anything after my eating window closes. Yes, there are days when I may fast less than 16 hrs, but there are also days where I may go as many as 24 hrs. I was even able to do a modified version of IF throughout a 5 week cruise we just completed and the blood tests I just took post-cruise show that my metabolic numbers are still excellent. Please know that the headaches, brain fog and not feeling 100% are totally normal bodily responses during the early weeks of fasting. Also know that weight loss will be more dramatic in the early weeks than it will be as time goes on. Good luck!

Years ago I tried a three day fast (Monday - Wed) weekly. I definitely felt a lot healthier. I did this for several months. I had read that the body rids itself of toxins in 3 days. Not sure if that info is still true, however, I definitely felt healthy doing the fasting. I didn’t include any food, only liquids, mostly water, no coffee, herbal teas. Anyway, congratulations on the idea and completing the goal.

Great job with the fasting. We’re going on a sugar fast… possibly the whole 30. Last time we did it was during our bus build. Made it 45 days! I was a bean pole 😄 I’d say the biggest challenge with a strict diet in the bus life is that the fridge is at arm’s reach. You w got to get out and do things to stay busy and keep your mind off of the food.

You should start way slower, like add 1 day per month until you at your goal. Otherwise you are shocking your system and are doomed to fail.

It would be better fasting in a cooler climate that way you both would have less headaches and that feeling of brain fog as that can cause serious affect in your health on hot days!.
