Somewhere out there, there is an EMT forcefully moving the patients own hand to try and put over patch burns to determine the rule of palms.

So does the head split into 4.5 for posterior and anterior or is it a full 9? My instructor tells me that the head will not split, only the extremities will. But other videos I see others splitting the head into 4.5. Could you please clarify 🙏🏾

What about if burn is on lower back or stomach do you classify that as 18% or 9% because it’s half of the area. P.s nice RE4 save music.

It would be considered 9%. The torso refers to both the chest and abdomen, so for example if there are only burns on the stomach or only burns on the chest then it would be 9%. Same goes for other parts of the body such as if there are burns only on the FRONT of the entirety an arm and not the back, then it would be 4.5%, not 9%.
