Rule of 9s Practice for EMTs: Calculating Burn Surface Area

There's a good chance you’ll see a burn question on the NREMT. Even if you don't, the rule of 9s gives EMS providers information that's essential for good decision-making when dealing with burn patients. Timestamps below.
0:43 - adult with burns to one arm
1:08 - adult with burns to the distal leg
1:53 - adult with burns to the anterior and posterior chest
3:02 - adult with burns to legs, abdomen and more
4:00 - reminders for calculating burn surface area on NREMT questions

Thank you for this! i kept getting practice test questions wrong bc of misunderstanding the rule and the question. my book was also not clear on sectioning off the torso where the chest and abdomen are calculated separately as 9% chest + 9% abdomen = 18% This video helped a lot as I'm planning to take the NREMT next week!
