In this lecture Professor Kristin Beach, MSN, BSN, RN will be presenting on Burns: Assessment & Patient Centered Care. We will be discussing how to care for a patient with a burn. We begin this lecture talking about the classification system for a burn and determining whether the burn is superficial, superficial partial, superficial deep, full, or deep full. We will then move into the phases of burn care including resuscitative, acute, and rehabilitative. The remainder of the lecture will be dedicated to discussing the assessment of burns and caring for those with a minor, moderate, or severe burn.
