Good stuff man, I personally have an old school Protec alpha bravo bump helmet that I picked up for like $70. Very rare. I can’t wait to see your ballistic helmet.

Why do you have a counterweight if you don't use nvg? Good concern to look into for the shroud strength, from the little I've seen they ste good to go but I'm brand new to owning good night vision lol.

Yeah these are great for cheaply mounting night vision. After spending 3k on night vision and then looking at what all the supporting equipment costs like a 1200 TW Ballistic Exfil helmet and a 500 dollar Wilcox or Norotos mount... you already spent 3k, now you gotta spend another 2k on helmet and mount and stuff? Na, you dont need to do that. this is a good option but you're going to need a counterweight. My PVS 14 Jams onto the helmet, which jams into my glasses, which then jams into my nose and that doesnt feel good and when running your night vision is flopping all over the place.... it's just not good, the counter weight is nessesary especially on a lightweight bump helmet which will have no weight to counter the PVS 14. Another good option is going with a used ACH from Ebay which can be had for the same price as this bump helmet and you do have SOME ballistic capabilities associated with it + an ACH shroud. Around the same amount of money if ballistic capabilities is a must. Then, down the road you can send it off to get a high cut added to it and add arc rails... pretty much turning it into an ops core for WAAAAY cheaper money. Good video.

For the bump helmet, not to my knowledge. Before you go down that rabbit hole, Why do you need/want to? Why not put the shroud you want on a surplus helmet? Look up tracer tactical, he has a good how to video @@23ortizgus
