Jordan was so comfortable shooting the 3 in this season and postseason -- he shot 39% from deep on nearly 4 three-point attempts per game in the '93 playoffs.

What I love about Jordan vids or any other superstar in the NBA is that we only see the highlights so it always appears the opposing team is losing by 40...then ya see the score appear and the opposing team is still up. lol

Jordan wasn't untouchable, i mean he scored over 41 ppg in the series, but he wasnt shooting some elite 65% FG pct, but a mortal 51%. Plenty of Suns players were in double digits, plus the Suns were missing Cedric Ceballos who got injured in the semifinals. yeah Jordan is nailing down tons of shots, but so did Barkley at 27 PPG, Marjele and Kev Johnson at 17 PPG, and Richard Dumas at 15 PPG. Suns took them nearly to 7 games, with game 6 decided by ONE basket.

If you know BB (which I'm moderate at), you can just truly see HOW fundamentally sound these players during this era were. Michael Jordan is the absolute greatest example, his control of the ball (his crossovers in here are ridiculous), his untouchable foot work, his choices of shots. He's just so good, that when in comparison to others you can find flaws which can be exploited, but he's the only one to ever show up who you really can't see "Well, you can beat him here". Simply Amazing!

He did have 44 points against the Suns in the regular season game. In Game 3, he had to work this hard to get his 44 points. The entire Bulls struggled in the extra periods while the Suns saved their best for the last. MJ - 44 points but missed more that half of his shot attempts hitting 19 out of 43 which most of his misses came in the 4th and OTs. Pippen - 26 points, 10 Rebounds, 9 Assists but was 12 of 35 shooting hitting only one FG in the first OT Armstrong - 21 points but cooled off in the extra periods and did not score Grant - 13 points, 17 Rebounds. Got into early foul trouble but played a big part in the Bulls rally back from a 11-point deficit to force OT. Did not score in the OTs and was fouled out in the 3rd OT resulting in the collapse of the Bulls defence and Barkley was able to capitalise on Grant’s dismissal The Suns withstood the Bulls run and able to hang on saving their best for last Dan Majarle - 28 points. The Standout performer shooting 10 of 17 including 6 3s (the 6th which turned the tide for the Suns) and several crucial baskets. Kevin Johnson - showed unbelievable stamina playing 62 mins scoring 25 points and put the clamps on MJ hounding him into missing 24 shots Charles Barkley - 24 points, 19 Rebounds. Struggled with his injury but saves his best for last in the 3rd OT period

I remember watching this in 93 and being very disappointed by that MJ breakaway dunk. He had the open court ahead of him with lots of time and I was sure it was going to be something spectacular. He made up for it later in the series with a sick alleyoop though. :)

@usmclown420 No way, M.J. of this era would have destroyed them. He was too good. There are at least 5 guys of Kobe's era that are arguably as as Kobe, Wade, James, Durant, Camelo Anthony, Tim Duncan and Allen Iverson. Ray Allen in his prime was as good as Kobe too. M.J. used to drop 55 on Jon Starks every time he played him, and Starks was a defensive animal.

From a Bulls fan, both teams could have won this game without even having to go to 3 overtimes . The Suns actually had better opportunities to win than the Bulls had. - They held an 99-88 lead in the 4th quarter only to see it evaporated when the Bulls went on a 15-4 run to knot the game at 103-103. - Dan Majarle’s breakaway dunk would have counted had Kevin Johnson not hastily call a timeout after stealing the ball from MJ of all ppl with 12 seconds remaining. Suns would have a crucial 105-103 lead and perhaps win. - Charles Barkley nearly repeating his heroics at San Antonio in the dying seconds of regulation. Sun would have won 105-103 in regulation. - Danny Ainge missed an open 3 point shot at the end of the first overtime which would have given the Suns a 110-107 win. For the Bulls - Had Horace Grant controlled Pippen pass well in the last second after Barkley’s miss in regulation, Bulls would have won 105-103 at the buzzer. - MJ squandered a crucial free throw which could have put the Bulls up 115-110 and put them out of reach at the last minute of the 2nd overtime. His FT miss allowed the Suns to score on the next 2 processions thus forcing a 3rd overtime.

After being swept by the Mavs (17 pts in games 3 and 4), losing horribly to the '04 Pistons, pouting and refusing to shoot in a number of playoff games, all while playing in an era with rules that deliberately favor perimeter players, I don't think Kobe should be in the discussion. Never should've been anyway. He is not on Jordan's level. Live with it. And that will become even more clear these next few years.

Kobe's downfall, what downfall? They just upgraded to be 1 of the 3 best teams in the league. The only thing that's dropping off is his physical abilities due to age, as happened to Jordan before him. He was still 1st team all nba last year for what, the 8th or 9th time?, perhaps b/c Rose was injured for most of the year, but still. Kobe now largely has to do it w/his shooting and drawing fouls, but no guard aside from Westbrook and Rose does it better, the 3 of em are about even now, the other

Shaq was a super rookie and he was LEFT OFF. Dennis Rodman who averaged 18.7 rebounds and 10 points per game in 91-92 Was LEFT OFF. With ALL of those snubs, the Dream Team was STILL the Greatest, most talented team ever assembled.

Jordan went 19-44 in this game by far not a good shooting night, but that wasnt the story of this the story was the Suns 3 headed monster took charge when they needed to. KJ played almost every minute of the game, Thunder Dan had an awesome game and Barkley was just typical Barkley. As a Bulls fan i always felt that this game was rigged, phoenix shot 32 free throws and the Bulls only went to the line 9 times in 3 OTs

@Edd1e8 yUp. I'm glad there are more people out there who understand that. or else Jordan was supposed to be the league MVP in 1993 & 1997 also (7 total). and who knows, had he not been retired in 1994 & been there all of 1995 he might have gotten it at least once more to make it 8 total league MVPs! but the NBA gave it to Barkley in 1993 & Malone in 1997 because Jordan was THAT darn good that David Stern felt he couldn't give it to Jordan every single time to give other players a chance.

The game belongs now to D12, the Heat and the Thunder (and D Rose) so it all will soon become a matter of historical debate.

But sure, I respect him immensely and personally he's to me basically as likeable as Magic, though that's besides the point. I don't knock MJ's talent and your point about kids never looking back more than a year, fine, but they've always been like that. LMAO much of these losses playoff exits were not just exits, but humiliations. MJ never lost once he got to the top except for the 1/3 of a season in 95. Also, your own comment disses kobe. If Kobe has been on top longer but has 5 rings & MJ has 6 in less time on top then that means MJ is more efficient than Kobe lol.

2 are just faster and more explosive due to the decade in age difference. And I think you're wrong also about kobe haters as well. That seems to be the general tenor of the comments on this video. They think Michael was soo much better and the fact that Kobe won his w/Shaq, Pau and others that Kobe's not in the conversation even, basically dismissing that no, in fact you can even make the case he's one of the 2 or 3 best guards ever, and likely has another year or 2 left at that level.
