Those pins will brake. That's the reason BMW had the friction plates, if major unbalance happens, it increases the chance of a less costly repair. With those weak pins 100% when they fail motor will just wrap up and be scrap.

Omar, Great Job... your skills have greatly improved on the video side... thanks for sticking with it. I noticed... Now for the crank hub replacement the instructions and brief overview are spot on... this is not a DIY project at all based on the specialized tools involved. BIG shout out to SSR for allowing you to film this. This shows the true value of shops with highly skilled professionals. I’m planning on tuning my 2020 M2C after my 1200 mile break in.. I kid you not.. I’m worried about all the details coming off the car and going back on tight and correct. I’ve had my moments at a Bmw shop were after close inspection I found things missing and loose, but it’s a testament to this mechanic work ethic that it was allowed to be filmed. Omar, as you do more on your S55 engine, use this same approach, your content will be well received just like the E-46 content I’ve grown too enjoy for so many years. So will your following great job!!!👌😀

Just finding this channel. Great video with great production value and informative content. Thank you for shooting this entire process. I need to find out what shop in Middle Georgia can handle a job with this level of precision, care, and attention to detail. Surely, Atlanta has some reputable BMW tuners. 🤷🏼‍♂️

If you go full e just be careful my injectors just got stuck open and had to tow car to shop. Burned half a tank of gas in about 15 miles. I test my e85 every fill up as well.

My crank hub was pretty bad. A lot of marring and the bottom sprocket was seized. You never know with these used M4s! Super glad I did the upgrade tho. Are you planning for a full e85 tune?
