Balkans:
The Balkans, also known as the Balkan Peninsula, is a geographical area in southeastern Europe with various geographical and historical definitions. The region takes its name from the Balkan Mountains that stretch throughout the whole of Bulgaria. The three most dominant religions in the Balkan Countries are Eastern Orthodox Christianity, Roman Catholicism, and Islam. Most of the Balkan Countries are now members of the European Union. Some are also members of NATO. The word, “Balkans” is a Turkish term that literally means, “Chain of wooded mountains.” Originally, the term referred to the Balkan Mountain range in Bulgaria but was eventually used to denote the entire Balkan Peninsula.
Bulgaria:
Bulgaria Bulgarian: България, romanized: Balgariya), officially the Republic of Bulgaria is a country in Southeast Europe. It is situated on the eastern flank of the Balkans, and is bordered by Romania to the north, Serbia and North Macedonia to the west, Greece and Turkey to the south, and the Black Sea to the east. Bulgaria covers a territory of 110,994 square kilometers and is the sixteenth-largest country in Europe. Sofia is the nation's capital and largest city; other major cities are Plovdiv, Varna and Burgas.
Romania:
Romania is a country located at the crossroads of Central, Eastern, and Southeast Europe. It borders Bulgaria to the south, Ukraine to the north, Hungary to the west, Serbia to the southwest, Moldova to the east, and the Black Sea to the southeast. It has a predominantly temperate-continental climate, and an area of 238,397 km2, with a population of around 19 million. Romania is the twelfth-largest country in Europe and the sixth-most populous member state of the European Union. Its capital and largest city is Bucharest, followed by Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Constanța, Craiova, Brasov, and Galati.
Serbia:
Serbia officially the Republic of Serbia (Serbian: Република Србија, Republika Srbija), is a landlocked country in Southeastern and Central Europe, situated at the crossroads of the Pannonian Plain and the Balkans. It shares land borders with Hungary to the north, Romania to the northeast, Bulgaria to the southeast, North Macedonia to the south, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to the west, and Montenegro to the southwest, and claims a border with Albania through the disputed territory of Kosovo. Serbia with Kosovo has about 8.6 million inhabitants. Its capital Belgrade is also the largest city.
Croatia:
Croatia (Croatian: Hrvatska), officially the Republic of Croatia (Croatian: Republika Hrvatska), is a country at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe. It shares a coastline along the Adriatic Sea. Greece:
Greece officially the Hellenic Republic, is a country in Southeast Europe. It is situated on the southern tip of the Balkans, and is located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa. Greece shares land borders with Albania to the northwest, North Macedonia and Bulgaria to the north, and Turkey to the northeast. The Aegean Sea lies to the east of the mainland, the Ionian Sea to the west, and the Sea of Crete and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. Greece has the longest coastline on the Mediterranean Basin, featuring thousands of islands. The country consists of nine traditional geographic regions, and has a population of approximately 10.4 million. Athens is the nation's capital and largest city, followed by Thessaloniki and Patras.

bowing down to EU is what made Greece have the strongest military in the Balkans and Romania the biggest economic increase in Europe in the last 10 years. a Balkan Union wouldn't be as successful as you may think

A union on the Balkans would be even worse than being part of the EU, at least in my opinion as Bulgarian. If we kept our Warsaw pact army, then perhaps, but in this situaion - I wouldn't want it at all. I can say, hwoever, than desptie disliking Greece I'd personally support it against Turkey.

No one is "bowing down" to anyone. The EU does not encroach sovereignty and preserves culture better than any other union you could possibly think of.

@@HeroManNick132 Yes, as a country only Greece. It doesnt mean I dont like various other countries. But the combination that Greece has is heaven. You go to Greece, can be in utter breathtaking mountain,sea, nature, cultural sceneries any day the entire day if you wish which is a rare combination by itself. as some countries have only mountains and no sea, some have only sea and no mountians, some have mountains and sea and no culture, history, divine food,etc. And utter few have a conbination of this all and yet miss an incredoble climate, heavenly food and incredible warmhearted people. And on top of that. In Greece I dont hage to travel 1000 km for the first sea, 800 km for the first mountains, 400 km for the first historical site. In Greece I can do it all pretty much wherever in the nation. So its a wonderful blend of everything. But if all of that was so wonderful and the people where cold, I would have never loved Greece as much as I do. Friendliness is my preferred thing I lpve nowadays. Its free. It shows the soul of a person. You can have 1 billion euro on your bank or nothing at all. But warmth of people on a cultural level is priceless

I love all the Balkan countries. Romania is the most interesting to me, and what I love most about Romania is its public prosecutor, Lura Codruta, who arrested thousands of Romanian corrupt politicians from the top of the government and one government minister. Că vorbim de geografie...In general se consideră că țări care fac parte din Balcani sunt: Albania 100% Bosnia și Herțegovina 100% Bulgaria 100% Grecia 100% Muntenegru 100% Macedonia de Nord 100% Serbia 73% inclusiv Kosovo 80% Croația 49% Slovenia 26% Romania 5% doar Dobrogea, insula mica a Brăilei și insula mare a Brăilei Turcia 5 % doar partea Europeană Italia 2% doar zona orașului Trieste Asta ne spune geografia.Faptul că noi ne identificăm ca balcanici nu e rău. Ne asemănăm mult ca popoare și cultură. Dar la fel de bine ne asemănăm și cu Moldova sau Ucraina și ei sigur nu sunt in Balcani. O să spui că Moldova cândva a fost Romania...Nu. aici e vorba de GEOGRAFIE

I love all balkan countries. But Serbia....Serbia has a special place in our hearts. Never, in the entire history of balkan, Serbia turned against Greece and vice versa. I remember, when NATO bombed serbia in 1999, my grandfather drove with my dad all the way to serbia by car, alongside many greeks, in order to put them selves in between the bombing and the serbian people. Their plan was that if NATO civilians were in the area , the bombardment will stop. It was partial successful.

For sure. I am from Romania. 🇷🇴 This idea is so good but I think that no one wants us to be so strong. I think countries like Greece, Bulgaria or România have a lot of resources but you know, we are to small. The history was not always nice with us.

Greece doesn’t have a economic crisis, never did biggest lie of the century, Greece just needs a finance minister to report numbers properly. Greece net debt shows 400 billion but that is future value due at maturity in 50 years with interest and fees included. Todays debt in present value is about 83 billion. They need to report their financials properly and their not broke just need a five star finance and accounting ministry.

It is interesting to see how Croatia and Bulgaria are very similar in size yet Croatia is light years away from our development in Bulgaria. Inflation and salary figures are incorrect but overall good job ☺️

3:03 at least for Greece, the actual literacy rate (ability to read and write in Greek) is 99.9% or more, according to an independent research. But the state counts as "illiterate" everyone who hasn't finished compulsory education.
