Timcasts chicken city stream has a setup that dispenses food every time someone donates money to the chickens, perhaps you could get in touch with them to see how they did that. You can set it up so when people donate that a high value treat gets released rather than food, though I suspect chicken city does the same.

I've been considering something like this! There's someone with ducks that does it as well. Once I get the minimum setup done I'll start looking into options like that.

It looks so good! The aviary looks so big, and once the plants and perches are planted/installed it’s going to look even better. I just know the birds will thrive in there. You spoke about and showed the metal sheets along the bottom and the netting on the inside, but have you considered digging predators and how to keep theme out? I know we used to run netting (heavy chicken wire) on the sides and all along the bottom on our rabbit cages when I was little. We had a few incidents with stray dogs, foxes and badgers, and the bottom wire mostly kept them out of the cages.

Maybe instead of covering the metal bars under the roof you could attach straight wood on top of it :)

Maybe you could wrap those metal beams with jute twine or something so they're more comfortable for the birds to perch on?

brock if you can get some sort of vines or something to hang down for a sort of cover gradient, that would look SO cool! maybe consider having some moss patches and such on the ground as well!

If you can't find the ultimate house for you and the birds make what have work. It appears you have plenty of property to do what you want and the house you have now is nice and big enough for you now that the cans are having more room to themselves things will be better for everyone. It just adds value to another bird person if you eventually sell if you manage to find that perfect place. I don't think now is the time to buy with everything going up including interest rates. Keep moving forward and do what you can when you can.
