Building the ULTIMATE Telecaster

Hey Y'all,
The telecaster is the most versatile guitar ever made. It's crazy how much Leo Fender got right with the first ever solid body electric guitar. You can do and play anything with a tele. In this video, I decided to make my ultimate tele a reality.
I used the Fishman Fluence pickups and swapped out the neck for a Fender Roasted Maple neck with a 12" radius and their flattened oval neck (their version of an Ibanez Wizard neck). The roasted maple neck is currently in the shop for the nut to be cut (I hate doing this).

I like the modern sound of the Fishman pickups, but it seems you lost a bit of the quack of the stock pickups. Enjoying your channel.

Yeah, I also had to play a different amp because these are so much hotter. I just picked it up from The shop with the roasted maple neck. When I get home, I’m going to livestream. If you’re free, come hear it!

Telecasters are the ultimate workhorse guitars. They can sound like anything from a tele to a 335. Greg Koch said it best, "At the end of the nuclear holocaust, there will be cockroaches and in-tune teles." It's crazy how much Leo Fender got right with the first design of the solid body electric guitar. A member of my patreon has a 50's custom shop tele. Does yours have the wiring where you have two blend knobs instead of a traditional volume / tone knob? Little update: I added the roasted maple neck (12" radius Fender Speed neck) and GraphTech string trees.. This neck is insane and elevated the entire build. The next upgrade I'll do is GraphTech saddles, then this tele will be complete and my #1 workhorse guitar. Being silent with these Fishman Fluence pickups makes Single Coils more attractive for gigging (I used to just live with the 60hz hum). I think next month, I'll build a strat. I have an amazing MIM Player Plus neck laying around that has rolled edges on the neck. I need a proper body, tremolo system, and will likely save for the Fishman fluence strat pickups. I'm sold on these haha, they're the best pickups I've ever played. I'd rather upgrade my guitars that I currently have then buy another guitar at this point. There's too much Eddie Van Halen influence in my life to not tinker with my guitars haha
