I have seen a bunch of Psy trance tutorials and they are either too full of themselves or explain why someone else is doing it wrong. This was a perfect tutorial!!!!!

Thank you for this detailed tutorial, that taught me how to make a psytrance bass , and how to use advanced functions in vital . I don't understand, though why your title mention Vital and you seem to use Serum ... Just kidding ;-) You made me reach a new level in programming vital. Nice tutorial, and very helpful.

Dear Brother, i have been trying to make music for 20 years in a daw and i have realized only recently how deep and detailed making music actually is, especially EDM. I have seen many videos, (im glad there are videos now,, i remember when youtube wasn't even existing...) Your video tutorial so far is the best i have seen, you have gone in so a detailed explanation on so many things, that i now understand music related to numbers and geometric forms and how each thing has a space and need a space to coexist in harmony, so thank you very much for this, may you receive anything you need..thanks

Is there a way to emulate this patch in Serum? It is not possible to assign Macros to modulation assignments on the matrix, so I tried to add Macro 1 as an AUX source of the LFO that I assigned to control the volume of the oscillator that was the fundamental, but it was ducking it on all the notes. I also couldn’t find a solution to control the volume with an LFO so to avoid the ending of the note overlapping to the next one. Obviously Vital is much more flexible, but I like to use Serum’s German LP filter together with Basic MCB oscillator, and applying your patch, at least the ability to duck the Fundamental within the source would be of great help

The first rule of Serum is that anything is possible in there, it's a monster 😀 I'll have a play and see what I can come up with. Hopefully something on the channel in a week or so.

Hey, my LFO2 and LFO3 keep reverting back to 8-1 instead of 4-1. Do you know why this might be happening?

Hi, check you haven't accidentally automated it because it is possible to automate the LFO tempos.
