Noise-loving, psychedelic alien.
adrenakrΩhm (aka Mushy Mushy, aka something else long forgotten) was first introduced to psytrance in 1994 after hearing the TIP Yellow compilation and has never looked back.
In 1998 he acquired a Roland MC303 which, at the time, was his cherished possession. It didn’t take long before he was collecting classic hardware synths and creating random noises just for personal amusement. This extended to Fruity Loops 3 around 2001, followed shortly thereafter by Cubase SX3. It was sometime later though before he started to take psytrance production seriously and was only creating full tracks by around 2010.
The adrenakrΩhm sound has been described as somewhere between Night Full-on, Twilight and Forest.

For this "music"? such an effort... 😅 Thank you!
The world would be very boring if we all enjoyed the same music 😉
Juicy squelches dude!
Thanks man. Hope you can use them.
wooow, thanks for this! S2
You're welcome dude. I'm surprised I'm able to teach something to a man of your talents 😉
good stuff mate, cheers!
Thanks.
fiya!!!
Thanks man.
In vital if you hold control when you assign an lfo, it automatically makes it bipolar.
Ah yes, thanks. This is one of the things I do know but haven't yet committed to muscle memory.
The filter modulations sound nasty (in a good way)! Can’t wait to play with this
For sure, it's awesome.
WHY put sustain down? it sounds thin asf :(
Leave the sustain up on yours then. Problem solved.

That's him.

hey, great tutorial. i am using bitwig and i don't get it when it comes to the audio fader.. is this important? i got the kick on -12db and bass on -10db. and somehow i think that the kicks from your 50 kicks for kick2 are too loud so i have to set the kick on -16db maybe? i'm confused ._.
and this thing with the buss i don't understand too, is it possible to create a kick&bass buss in bitwig? or is this just a group within the kick&bass?
Ah, don't worry about the -10/-12/-whatever setting for the kick. This is just an arbitrary number. Instead, set the kick to a level that also provides sufficient headroom for all the additional instruments. It essentially becomes the benchmark for all the other levels given it's typically the loudest element in the mix, ie. once you've set this (-16 in your case it sounds like) then set all your other instruments relative to it.
I don't know Bitwig at all, sorry. However if it's like Ableton, you create an audio channel and change the output of the individual channels to it.
Lol'd at "Pearcushion". Great video, I used to modulate the filter with an envelope for the slide bass, which always was a hassle. This way it's way easier!
It's the name of an early Ajja track and it's how I've named my percussion buss ever since.
Man, thank god for the few of you that make these videos. Helps A LOT.
Glad you like them!
I have to say I love that VB1 reference.. they were the days!! Model-E too I loved that thing!
Ha, yes! The classics!
No ducking? Only one filter per tap? A band pass is not the same as a separate high and low pass unless there is some serious, precise control over the width. So again something that needs to be used in a bus so a good EQ can be put after and possibly before it, and a sidechain ducker. I have tons of those already. If you want a much more comprehensive delay in every way, try the ridiculously underrated Blue Cat Late Replies and you'll be thankful you spent an extra 30 Euro on it. Or if you are the type that can deal with ultra complex routing and interface, FabFilter Timeless 3. There's no comparison to this, it's so much better, but if you also want a better delay for an identical RRP to Sigmund, go for OhmBoyz. Hey, I LOVE D16, and Lush 2 is in my top 5 synths of all time, and I can't be without the modulation effects. I also use Punchbox every single day and their synths rock, with the only reason I decided against them because they don't have analog style single sound step input, but rather only one main overview grid sequencer of all the sounds, and I don't work that way. Even their 303 doesn't have traditional step input, so that's a no go for me personally, but it and all their drum plugins *sound* great. I truly love at least half of their products, so this is not a slag on D16. The thing is that this is simply an undercooked delay. Just because it has a couple nice modulation features does not salvage it. I see this as a $19 hobby delay, not a serious 100 Euro delay. Sorry guys!
Great to have multiple options then.
Seems like a kinda copy of Cube but without the cube as in loading 4 samples. I do like Cube but I think this vst is a tad over priced.
It's not cheap for sure.
Just subbed to your channel really like what your videos keep them coming.
Awesome. Thanks!
Fantastic new release! So many great releases by d16. They are on fire!!!!
Yup, for sure!
Fire tutorial
Thanks man!
Alles Klar 👍 Cool Tutorial
Thanks!!
מה השם של הטראק שיצא?
Not sure what you mean. What track?
@@adrenakrohmYes, what is the name of the track? , you have beautiful music, where can I find your music?
Ah, ok. I had a feeling this is what you were asking but wasn't sure. The track in this video is still unreleased but I do have one here: fusioncraftrecords.bandcamp.com/track/andhera-kukumutta Many thanks for your compliments too ❤️
vb 1 link?
Steinberg site.
Thank you mate, I got it!
I wish... but the midi sync with all this jitter isn't good enough for me.. still missing any possibility to send Link data from Cubase. Rewire is still my solution, with older software versions though, and missing the VST's in Ableton when Rewired.
Yeah it's hit and miss I believe. Lots of people reporting similar timing issues but also lots (me included) with rock solid timing.
I have both velocities like you said, but if i have both filters on it only plays the top one, strange
Check the mod matrix page again and ensure it's all the same, specifically with regard to the modulation polarity.
INah, all that messing around and it still doesn't sound good. I cant quite put my finger on what the issue is. I just find it unmusical and it gets lost in the mix but I bought it for a delay and I actually dont think its a delay, more of an Fx machine Maybe . Not gonna upgrade, I have V1 for a decade and could never find a use for it. But I think it could find use in Techno stuff but as a regular delay I honestly think it sucks. Maybe they shoud have called it FX/distortion machine with a sort of delay..😶🌫
Well there are a thousand more options for conventional delay should you wish, even from D16 themselves. I don't think this is even pretending to be conventional.
More vital videos!
More coming.
Ey and we learned to make a kick in vital sorta at the same time
Ha, yeah that's true I guess.
Why if i stretch my note does it make a strange bird sound after
That's what will happen when the pitch is extended.
Do a vid of how to make from scratch plss
Ok will add to the list.
Nice bro!!! Lovely
Thanks man!
Was eagerly waiting for this one. It has an unique character. Should be pretty good for techno :)
Yep, no doubt at all.
How can i cut clicking in my sound
Try increasing the attack or release amp envelopes.
Epic tutorial
Thanks man!
Sounds like my wavestate. Wish I had all it's samples to add to my wavestate 😉
Oooh, Wavestate. Nice one.
I've got Phoscyon 2 & it's SO good. With so many preset patterns & fx chains you can get some Amazing stuff and tweek it to your own creative desires. Cant wait to get this.
Yup they make quality stuff.
What can i get to randomize velocities? Else i have to do it manually so i just stuck with the random on the filter
Not sure what DAW you use but most allow velocity randomisation. Ableton is quite good with this.
@@adrenakrohm using fl studio, i must try get my ableton up and running , idk what buttons it wld be to randomize the velocity but ill try to search it thanks bro
Brooo thank you your tutorials are so good and clean, proper sound's
Thanks man! ❤️
the 3 drum machines should be in one plugin ... it's a money grab making them seperate products since they share so much similar code
Having a version with them all combined would be pretty cool.
Better than the Roland cloud crap 😂 D16 group prices are fair and also their upgrade prices are great!! No complains here - they are a small company with families to support. Keep that in mind and perhaps you’ll start showing more love instead of thinking it’s a cash grab.
All products they sell are worth every penny I have all three drum machines the 909,808 and this 606 mix one plus the 303 and very affordable no complaints i wish every synth i had had the same sequencer workflow 10/10 score.
You have no clue what it takes to run a business do you? Entitled and clueless. D16 are one of the very best plugin creators with really fair prices and upgrade offers, offers that never expire too. I use their plugins on literally every single track.
you all know i’m right 😉
Looks great! Why can I find no reviews about this? Even Gearspace, where you usually can't shit people up, is silent on this. Confused, lol.
Well to be fair it's a) quite new and b) while Gearspace does do both hardware and software, it's mainly hardware. Check KVR instead, I know there's a thread or two there.
It’s been a few days and usually Gearspace is buzzing in advance of many software releases. I just wanted some independent opinions but can only find ones for version 1 which is pretty ancient now 😆.
thanks good video
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Love these.
Yep, they make quality stuff.
Great demo and sounds
Thanks!
Thank you for this detailed tutorial, that taught me how to make a psytrance bass , and how to use advanced functions in vital . I don't understand, though why your title mention Vital and you seem to use Serum ... Just kidding ;-) You made me reach a new level in programming vital. Nice tutorial, and very helpful.
Ha, glad you enjoyed it and learnt a few things.
Good technique.
Thanks!
the presets are absolute shit im not even a good sound designer and i could do a lot better
i bet if they paid for some good sound designers on this everyones opinion would be completely different .
Not mine. Pressing ctrl-c, ctrl-v on an existing synth feels very weird to me. Good presets won't mask how lazy they've been.
I was expecting, and hoping to see how to use the drumcomputer in an actually project, which you didn't show at all. This plugin seems to become completely useless for real producers , because it is not capable to use any of these presets in a song. Unless you have an endless loop from start to the end 4 minutes long, and eternal playing throughout your entire song. For example if you want the drum preset to shut up in the middle of a break in your song , than the only way to achieve this is to automate the master volume down, which is just ridiculous to work in that way. And Ok the sounds are fresh and original , but this plugin has no value for electronic music producers since the clock is not able to toggle with a midi note to start and stop in your DAW.
How to use in a track? Insert plugin, press play. Stop playback? Page 44 of the manual.
Why the hell doesn't Cubase provide an Ableton link for the full version. Does it work with the Cubasis app too...
Well yes, that would be ideal. Ain't gonna happen though.
@@adrenakrohm Why not, Cubasis already has it?
Congratulations man, this was one of those benchmark videos in the eternal flow of Mother of all bass tutorials.
Ha! Thanks man! I certainly hope so.
