adrenakrohm

adrenakrohm

Noise-loving, psychedelic alien.

adrenakrΩhm (aka Mushy Mushy, aka something else long forgotten) was first introduced to psytrance in 1994 after hearing the TIP Yellow compilation and has never looked back.

In 1998 he acquired a Roland MC303 which, at the time, was his cherished possession. It didn’t take long before he was collecting classic hardware synths and creating random noises just for personal amusement. This extended to Fruity Loops 3 around 2001, followed shortly thereafter by Cubase SX3. It was sometime later though before he started to take psytrance production seriously and was only creating full tracks by around 2010.

The adrenakrΩhm sound has been described as somewhere between Night Full-on, Twilight and Forest.

    hey, great tutorial. i am using bitwig and i don't get it when it comes to the audio fader.. is this important? i got the kick on -12db and bass on -10db. and somehow i think that the kicks from your 50 kicks for kick2 are too loud so i have to set the kick on -16db maybe? i'm confused ._.

  • @nrmlyfx
    @nrmlyfx11 күн бұрын

    and this thing with the buss i don't understand too, is it possible to create a kick&bass buss in bitwig? or is this just a group within the kick&bass?

  • @adrenakrohm
    @adrenakrohm11 күн бұрын

    Ah, don't worry about the -10/-12/-whatever setting for the kick. This is just an arbitrary number. Instead, set the kick to a level that also provides sufficient headroom for all the additional instruments. It essentially becomes the benchmark for all the other levels given it's typically the loudest element in the mix, ie. once you've set this (-16 in your case it sounds like) then set all your other instruments relative to it.

  • @adrenakrohm
    @adrenakrohm11 күн бұрын

    I don't know Bitwig at all, sorry. However if it's like Ableton, you create an audio channel and change the output of the individual channels to it.

    No ducking? Only one filter per tap? A band pass is not the same as a separate high and low pass unless there is some serious, precise control over the width. So again something that needs to be used in a bus so a good EQ can be put after and possibly before it, and a sidechain ducker. I have tons of those already. If you want a much more comprehensive delay in every way, try the ridiculously underrated Blue Cat Late Replies and you'll be thankful you spent an extra 30 Euro on it. Or if you are the type that can deal with ultra complex routing and interface, FabFilter Timeless 3. There's no comparison to this, it's so much better, but if you also want a better delay for an identical RRP to Sigmund, go for OhmBoyz. Hey, I LOVE D16, and Lush 2 is in my top 5 synths of all time, and I can't be without the modulation effects. I also use Punchbox every single day and their synths rock, with the only reason I decided against them because they don't have analog style single sound step input, but rather only one main overview grid sequencer of all the sounds, and I don't work that way. Even their 303 doesn't have traditional step input, so that's a no go for me personally, but it and all their drum plugins *sound* great. I truly love at least half of their products, so this is not a slag on D16. The thing is that this is simply an undercooked delay. Just because it has a couple nice modulation features does not salvage it. I see this as a $19 hobby delay, not a serious 100 Euro delay. Sorry guys!

    INah, all that messing around and it still doesn't sound good. I cant quite put my finger on what the issue is. I just find it unmusical and it gets lost in the mix but I bought it for a delay and I actually dont think its a delay, more of an Fx machine Maybe . Not gonna upgrade, I have V1 for a decade and could never find a use for it. But I think it could find use in Techno stuff but as a regular delay I honestly think it sucks. Maybe they shoud have called it FX/distortion machine with a sort of delay..😶‍🌫

    I was expecting, and hoping to see how to use the drumcomputer in an actually project, which you didn't show at all. This plugin seems to become completely useless for real producers , because it is not capable to use any of these presets in a song. Unless you have an endless loop from start to the end 4 minutes long, and eternal playing throughout your entire song. For example if you want the drum preset to shut up in the middle of a break in your song , than the only way to achieve this is to automate the master volume down, which is just ridiculous to work in that way. And Ok the sounds are fresh and original , but this plugin has no value for electronic music producers since the clock is not able to toggle with a midi note to start and stop in your DAW.
