I have been painting models for 40 yrs . mostly scale 1:87 . Usually before taking on an assigment I do the "study" on the big boys ...so I stumbled upon Andy .. Rarely have I enjoyed a tutorial on such matter . Normal person , with normal tone , giving the essentials - and hobby is in the first line , not the personal issues . Masters are usually simple , and this is a MASTER ! Few people I have subscribed, this is the one .

Andy, your build videos have no peer! Each and every one is OUTSTANDING. Additionally, no one can match your musical accompaniment. Some classical compositions instead of the usual rap crap. Thank you for that also. The only suggestion I could possibly make is for you to name the composition(s) accompanying the videos for us uncultured viewers. I'm good with "The 1812 Overture." However, while the melodies are largely familiar, I doubt I could properly name many of them or their composers. I wouldn't want to risk the wrath of Alex Trebek in Final Jeopardy! Thanks again for a GREAT time on-line.

To add to painting tips, military and heavy equipment if any painting done in the "field" basically out side of the factory or repair depot, they generally don't tape much if anything off and many times it's done with paint brush and/or roller back then. Now days a rattle can mostly. Any case overspray and paint on tires is actually accurate. Say tanks for example pretty common that replaced wheels would be primer or original color and not painted camouflage or other color unless the crew touched it up. Andy love your channel btw!!!!

Hey Andy! I've been building models for a couple of months now and have brush painted every single piece of the models along the way. It suddenly dawned upon me, what if I purchase an airbrush that could allow me to get a better finish and do it slightly faster (though i would still brush paint details and such). Which leads me to my point, is there a certain airbrush that you could reccomend to me that is beginner friendly and wont put me in debt? Anyway, it would be really neat if you could shoot me back a reply! P.S. Your model looks truely amazing! The level of detail you were able to achieve astonishes me.

I picked up a 700 dollar compressor for 150 shipped and its amazing. Take a look at whats available. It doesnt have to be new but of course make sure it isn't worn out. I couldnt find any good quality airbrushes that i could afford so inbought a kmoon Chinese knock off of an iwata and that works really well. That wa like 15 bucks. At least if you get one and dont lile it its not a disaster.
